    In the restaurant I work at we use something called Ecolab Greaselift and it is the best chemical you can use, it strips polymerized grease off in seconds. I've used it in my ovens at home and they always come out looking brand new.

      @LatitudeSky Před 6 lety +1

      S Ecolab makes a version of that product sold at Sam's Clubs in a gallon jug for about $6. It's marked as a floor cleaner and degreaser and wow does it work too.

    You have to compare each by following directions on bottle, some are meant to be wiped off while still wet and some you need to let dry.

    Hi Jack! Good review. Does the “green” cleaner have chemicals? I’d stick to an all natural cleaner, because the food goes directly on there. Also, after you’re done cooking meat on there, you can use a wad of foil to take off stuck on food. Enjoy your weekend!

      Classic definition kinda means "common man". Jack of all trades and master of none is someone who knows something about a subject, but not a master. Food Jack I assume means the same. Someone with knowledge of food, but not a classically trained chef. So his videos are for common people with an interest in food or learning more, but definitely not directed towards someone with chef experience.

  • @jonnyboat2
    @jonnyboat2 Před 5 lety +2

    I use a little Webber kettle grill I bought in 1990 when I worked for Hershey Chocolate engineering in Hershey, PA. I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. I’m thinking of using lye. I tried engine degreaser, baking soda and vinegar and Easy Off. That crap is caked on there solid. The cooking grate is clean, but the lid and the kettle are caked. Gasoline always works too. Maybe I’ll try that and burn the residual off.

    • @2001Sunshine
      @2001Sunshine Před 5 lety

      jonnyboat2 did you figure a way? I too did my bbq today. Had spots even easy off wouldn't work on so looking for ideas

    • @jonnyboat2
      @jonnyboat2 Před 5 lety +3

      2001Sunshine I went to Walmart and bought about 10 different cleaners. I tried a few of them, but what finally worked was taking a stick and scraping off the grease that was caked on and then using the Easy Off Grill cleaner spray, letting it soak in for half an hour and then using a plastic bristled scrub brush to further remove the Easy Off and then rinsing off with a hose. I repeated the Easy Off and scrub brush and rinse a couple more times and that thing looked like new again. So, scrape, Easy Off, scrub brush and rinse as many times as is needed.
