+WaffleProject In this tournament, Japan dominated every team they played. They dominated time of possession, shots, shots on goal, corner kicks, whatever. They scored 23 goals, and gave up one in stoppage time at the end of a game where they were up 4-0 (In comparison, Spain scored 15 and gave up 5).
In this final, Japan had more shots (15-6), more shots on goal (9-2), and had more corner kicks (5-2), indicating that Japan was the more consistent and dominant offensive team for the majority of the game. Interestingly enough, if you look at the statistics, Japan was more dominant against Spain in the final than they were in the 2-0 win they had in pool play against Spain.
