Flour 1 cup /150g
Cornflour 4 tbsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Food colour 1/4tsp
(Yellow/Orange)
Yogurt 4 tbsp
Water 150ml
Ingredients for syrup:-
Sugar 3 cups
Water 1 & 1/2 cups
Lemon juice 2 tsp
Cardamom 6-7

I exactly followed the same ingredients but it was far far away form authentic jalebi taste. Can anyone else tell me the reason if I needed to add something that wasn't there in the recipe

These turned out amazing!!! I’ve tired making Jalebi before and failed big time but this recipe was super easy and deliciously crispy. Was gone in first day of making.🥰🙏🏽

is it oaky while forming jalebi the plastic of cone gets melted in oil ?
@Sush The plastic will probably not melt if you just put it above the hot oil to shape the jalebis. Just don't leave it above the hot oil for too long and don't let it touch the oil or pan.
