I've played this song a number of times and I find this song is best learned for me by playing lead. Once I got the lead down the cords were a lot easier. Keep up the great work PJ and by the way, that telecaster is beautiful and sounds sweet. I don't know what your settings are on the amp but it sounds very warm. By the way I have dedicated the month of June for the PRS. SMLS
Brer Taylor. I was trying to do weekly swaps with my guitar side pieces. It was so hard to put the new tele down. I may have to do monthly as well 😆 🤣 😂
Wish I could find a church that let the guitar have a space for chords. Most organist don't give you a lane for all that. In fact, guitar is just a accent instrument. This is why you don't see alot of guitar players at gospel churches. We been fazed out by keyboard players. All these churches want now are organ and drums with a click track.
Alot of churches will pay the organ guy 4-500 every Sunday and pay everyone else 75 bucks or even expect you to play for free. You got to be extremely good to get paid and get used. Mean while they will pay some sloppy playing organist or keyboard with little knowledge 4 times what they paid you. I guess that's why I play secular now and just attend church as a guest. 😢
Brother I totally understand your pain. On top of the bias towards keys a lot of churches don't even care if tge musician is saved or not. I met some of the rudest meanest heathens in the musician corner at church. Just continue to be faithful and I promise your gift will make room for you and place you in the presence of great men!
Congratulations on the new guitar, I love the feeling of adding something to the collection. Do you have any experience with playing quartet drive style guitar? Im on the journey of learning. Any help would appreciated, thanks and keep up the good work, you help me out alot
I have very little experience but it's something I'm try to learn myself here are the lessons I have czcams.com/video/-0dKFJMF204/video.htmlsi=nI0wT4oUSmdLpyRG czcams.com/users/livekpP-QO8ENWQ?si=DvRoeZYGwA-JYOhH Kevin Wilson and Travis Calvin also have some good lessons on the quartet drive. They are great instructors.
That’s how I feel too when I play one more than the others! Thanks for this. I will watch this after my session
