I think it’s weird that so many people aren’t willing to put any Arsenal players in the conversation for best in their position in the league this season.
When Ramsdales mentioned it’s Ederson, Allison, De Gea. Ben White? Trippier, Walker, Dalot. Saliba and Gabriel? Schar and Botman, Varane and Martinez, Dias and Stones. Zinchenko? Shaw, Ake and Chillwell. Partey? Rodri and Casemiro. Xhaka? Gundogan, Enzo, Eriksen, Guimares, Hojberg. Odegaard? De Bruyne and Fernandes. Martinelli and Saka? Saka, saliba and odegaard the best in their positions in the league.
Allison is undoubtedly the best goalkeeper in the world. Varane, lisandro, dias and botman have been monsters and Gabriel has been called a bozo all season. Trippier is by far the best RB in the league. Zinchenko does have a shout at LB because of the lack of quality in that position throughout the league but as a city fan myself I would still take Ake or Robertson (even though he's been pretty shite recently). Partey has potential but injury concerns hold him back behind casemiro and Rodri. Xhaka being the best 8 is laughable. Martinelli is second only behind Rashford. Haaland and Kane are levels above Jesus.
Arsenal's players are very good and I would go as far as saying every player in their starting XI is top 5, if not higher in their optimal position.

In a game that I know that player will perform I'd pick KDB almost every single time but for the performance of the entire season this year it's Ødegaard 100%. I'm an Arsenal fan but as a football fan I'm trying to be unbiased as possible.

Odegard is fucking sensational and if he continues this form in his career, he will be just as good as kdb was imo.

KDB broke the assist record without Haaland. I’m an Arsenal fan but recency bias is clouding peoples judgement imo, I’m still taking KDB, even this season. Ødegaard is fantastic but KDB has some passes in his locker I haven’t seen Ødegaard pull off yet. Plus this is meant to be a poor season for KDB and he still has the most assists in the league.

As an Arsenal fan, KDB at his peak is levels. However, Odegaard is 24 y/o and is on his way to being at that level, and has been amazing this season
As an Arsenal fan, if I had to pick between both players and both perform at their best every game then I pick KDB everytime, but based of form and consistency just for this season then I’ll pick Odegaard.
Can’t say that Odegaard is a better player than KDB yet because he hasn’t produced at KDBs level for the same of time, but picking a lesser technically gifted player on form is a legit choice in my opinion.

But Arsenal fans have been saying for years that Journalists, TV pundits, and social media have an agenda against us (they just don't like or respect Arsenal), which in the past football fans have unanimously said we were being delusional. (And I love these video shorts that make pundits look stupid) But believe me Not all Arsenal fans are bitter like some of the more popular channels that say otherwise. As an Arsenal fan yours is the very first channel I look for after each game. As a black man London man living in New Zealand for 20 years i totally respect and comend your vigorous work ethic, it is the purest among all you tubers. I will have to argue that Arsenal and Man city play slightly different in the final third. Arsenal do not necessarily have to play the ball into box to find a striker. Arsenal still play one twos in the final third and Ødegaard is key in facilitating that. Ødegaard is closer to Foden than to KDB in terms of quality ( more tiki-taka ) whereas KDB is more of a passer and efficiency in final ball delivery ( better version of Bruno ). Ødegaard is different class.

But this season odegaard has been incredible and has impacted arsenal more than KDB has at City. On current form odegaard goes into my team, but I'm not disputing that KDB is the best midfielder in the world based on the last 5 seasons

#10 debate - its a shirt number...not a position. Odegaard has great stats..but offers possibly BETTER defensive side of the job, KDB feels more full offensive....but their basic stats are pretty much the same, no gulf........this season.
If there's a cup final tomorrow and I have to choose between the two I'd drop kick both of them and choose Bruno instead cause I'm a United fan but jokes aside. Odegaard has been the best creative midfielder in the league this season and should rightly be lauded as such without adding or manufacturing any sort of situation (like a hypothetical cup final) just to fit in an argument that he's not but KDB has been world class for a lot longer than the former has been around. I don't think the cup final argument to separate the two is fair cause Odegaard has been the best in the league this season but if it really is a cup final I'd go KDB everyday of the week.
As for the Pep thing personally I think he has to win it with City if he's to be GOATed. He's a great manager don't get me wrong but in terms of his legacy it'll always be a mark against him that he has only won it twice with one of the greatest Barcelona team ever. Not two separate teams or even two different Barca teams. He won it twice with the same Barca players who were also the backbone to the Spanish team that went on to win 2 Euros and a World Cup between 2008 and 2012.

I'll still take KDB in a cup final tomorrow as an Arsenal fan, BUT he is 7 1/2 years older! He should be better. I'll take Odegaard on my team going forward, though, as his age is more in line with the rest of Arsenal's window of success. Odegaard should be more valuable over the next 5 seasons. I'll take Odegaard's age 25-29 over kdb's 32-36. Plus, Odegaard makes way less money which definitely impacts a player's value.

With Pep IMO it's not the champions league that will define his legacy, its whether he can be successful with a club that has to operate on an even keel financially. People might say he did that at Barcelona, but there he had the greatest generation of players, including the greatest player the world has ever seen. At Bayern he had by far the most resources in that country and at Man City he's had an open cheque book. Would he be able to do what Arteta has don't at Arsenal for instance? Most other greats did it on a budget atleast before they got to a big club

You are mistaken here on 1 thing buddy. Pep IS a checkbook manager. When he first came to City, he inherited a league winning team, and yet, he didnt win it because he didnt have the best full backs that he required. What did he do? go out and buy 2 Fullbacks for 50 million each to win the league the next season. IN bayern, there was no competition. He basically stole Dortmund's best players and made sure no 1 is strong enough to beat his team. Barca had some of the bext players the world had ever seen and he said it himself, that it wouldnt have been possible had he not have those players, So until he does a Klopp, Wenger, Ranieri and win the league with a team not built using checkbook, then he forever will be defined as a checkbook manager.
Odergard is the most improved player this season and has improved his team beyond measure. But KDB cannot improve from his best, so that's no comparison. Otherwise he has not been at his best this season except perhaps on Tuesday. But class is permanent and so on and KDB's class has been the best for many years. I don't think we are comparing like with like..
No way this man city team can be considered the best of all time. the reason man city has been able to win domestically is because they have tremendous squad depth, which allows you to rotate and keep key players fresh, and not be affected by injuries. To compare them to the greatest TEAM of all time, ie the best XI players on the pitch, there is no comparison with that barcelona team with prime messi iniesta xavi etc. No chance
Odegaard & KDB is a tough choice. They are doing different things. Odegaard is scoring more. KDB is assisting more. They're splitting stats at the moment. There's really no definitive one is better than the other without the consideration of the #9. Tottenham did this to Harry Kane before. I'm not entirely convinced they'll be reasonable towards him, because its a terribly managed club. I could see them forcing an uphappy player to remain yet again since they consider him the reason they could win silverware like he was a quarterback in the NFL. Daniel Levy is the reason Tottenham are a Big 6 team with a Top 10 mentality.
The difference between KDB and Odegaard is, KDB is a 10, Odegaard is an attacking minded 8. to simplify it KDB is a little bit better than Odegaard on the ball but Odegaard is the best (attacking midfielder) in the world off the ball. So who would i take for a final? Depends on what qualities the team needs.

The thing that's scary about city is, the last time they lost the title, that summer they spemt and won a double. This season they let go of Jesus, sterling, Zinchenko and potentially cancelo and are second. They will replace those players and sell more to almost complete their "transition" back into the scary city. They have short bursts of success and then refresh the squad as quickly as possible, and its clearly working.

It's not ethical. An owner can choose to invest players or move players btw clubs. Wld it make any sense for United to buy a player from PSG at a high price and not look like laundering of money. Players purchase will be used to cook the books. It is not ethical for both teams to be in a similar competition. Opening the door for manipulation of bets.
What is Ohara on, he must be on something not prescribed. Any manager in the world will take pick a player based on performance. Not a performance from over 5 years but a player that is performing now. Ohara is not fit to give non biased punditry. Odegard over DeBruyne if a squad was to be selected to play tomorrow. DeBruyne looses the ball too often and did nothing in the World Cup. Not his best season so far.

How many goals and assist as odegaard have this season for people to be comparing him to KDB and how many games have he single-handedly won by himself this season if he was good he would still be a Real or at the very least they would have put a Buy-Back clause in is contract before they sold him to Arsenal Saka and martinelli have been the real stars for Arsenal
i am an arsenal fan an i would say spurs wont sell kane. they would rather ruin his career then let him go too a rival. Not to mention the backlash it would cause kane himself from them aswell as the club and levy and then u add who could they get in to immediately fill the void left by kane cause spurs are not a top 6 side without him. who would hit the ground running and would want to go to spurs over another top six club? then u add on that spurs has become a place were once great managers go to die.
Even seen KDB on the bench a lot in the prem and not odegaard
And yet kdb still out preforms him and has more assists. Besides everyone knows that pep rotates quite a bit
