This is signature Collective Soul from start to finish. Sounds like their 90's stuff and I couldn't be happier. Two thumbs way up.

Ed still sounds just as he did in the 90s !! Easily one of the best singers from that era. You can’t deny that he has aged amazingly

This is a very apparent when you hear the 2015 remake of Shine which was recorded about 30 years after the original. It sounds 99.9% the same.
@@mphillips4324 exactly. Most singers who are his age sadly have lost a lot of their vocal abilities but Ed’s voice has aged well and he can still push himself whenever he wants.
Best single by Collective Soul in many years! It brings me back to that classic Collective Soul sound of the 90's. I felt nostalgic listening to it. This is Collective Soul at their best. I love it.

You can all thank the power of rock n roll bands like Collective Soul, The Black Crowes, Pearl Jam and Green Day for these revolutionary pop culture times.

Now this is the sound of Collective Soul that I have missed. Definitely has Blue Album and Where the River Flows vibe. Can’t wait to hear the other stuff coming on the new double album.
1994: Collective Soul, Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Weezer all made good rock music, now here we are in 2024, that’s 30 years of keeping rock & roll music alive.
Let's hope they all keep it going! During the first year or so of Covid, I kept telling people that the '90s were back (or never really went away): We got The Father of All... from Green Day and Gigaton from Pearl Jam near or just before the start of lockdowns, were supposed to get Van Weezer that year (and still got OK Human; had to wait until 2021 for VW), and Vibrating was ready to go in 2020 (but release was delayed until 2022).
I have been waiting for this album for a long time. Ed had said in interviews that they had several projects in the can and that they were looking at a 2024 release for one of them. When the news hit that it was going to be a double album out in May, I marked the date on my calendar.

Literally the same in different orientation. Same as Manson did with with disposable teens. The filler is the only difference, but is the same-ish as multiple other songs.still, I love them.
