@Wander-Core If is wasn't for the 80s you would have rock and hip hop the way it is now (MTV). And you would not have video games the way they are now, either. Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Beastie Boys, NWA, Guns & Roses, and many more legends in music. Let's not forget Nintendo came out in the 80s which set the tone for PlayStation and Xbox. PCs turn the tide in the 80s which set the tide to today's gaming PCs. And the food taste better back then. McDonald's taste really good back then and was treat to go too.
I'm so glad I found these videos..everything about the 80s was amazing..my parents moved me from new Orleans, LA- Ft Lauderdale, FL..I thought the beaches was one big Miami vice seen...Ft Lauderdale is Lame today compared to the days of the world famous candy store and pen rods on the beach...I was 14 and could hang out all day with $5 or less and have an absolute blast...
Back before liberalism was forced down our throats. We actually hated communism back then. We were stronger back then as well and less diverse. Diversity ruined our neighborhoods
I just stumbled upon this video and it's really cool to see the 80s again. I graduated in 83 in Michigan and and no one had their own video camera because they were outrageously expensive. Thanks for the look-back.
And you could only use it for personal use, like sitting at home showing the video to your family. It wasn´t like there was CZcams back then. So you couldn´t really do much with the film material, which is probably a reason why video recording wasn´t a big thing back then.
I grew up in Ypsilanti Michigan, graduated High School in 1988. 26 years ago, my wife and I moved to a Small town in Utah 🇺🇸 and I am greatful for that. I can tell you this much............. "Ignorance and Apathy Destroys Nations."
I was 8yrs old at the time and can vividly remember seeing HS students roaming the streets and hanging out after school, it was super chill back then, my neighbors house had teens who would barbeque after school and smoke weed like it was nothing while playing some of the best music you can imagine, I lived like 4 houses from the police station and they didn't even care about the pot smoke regardless having a bunch of DARE vans parked up at the station
you are correct. we all hung out at people's houses or the malls after school. it's not like now where everybody's always on their phones interacting. Parties and socializing were huge back then. People actually left the house to do things.
I graduated in 88 it was so cool back then I hated school but loved that time period music was great people were great nobody got they’re little feelings hurt and I drove a 69 camaro life was good
I was in my twenties in the 1980s and even though I was finished high school by in 1978 I was a youth in that period having the time of my life with no ties on me and no problems. I would go back to those days in a second and anyone my age will say the same. The planet was safer and cleaner.
Younger generations who see this, everyones reaction to the camera is because back then a video camera on you was not a normal occurance it was rare to see them. They cost thousands of dollars and were the size of a large womans purse you put them on your shoulder. These kids arent like kids now where cameras have been around since you were a baby and it feels normal. We were just discovering this type of thing in the 80's.
I was 7 years old at this time. But i remember everything about this sweet late 80's / early 90's life as a kid. Computers were grey or beige boxes that did very little, MTV played music, people knew how to socialise. Fewer distractions, when you were out of the house you were just OUT and nobody could pester you, you could leave your bike outside a shop or your friends house and it would still be there later.
Back in the day when holding a camcorder gave you a tricep workout and just changing the focus or zoom was more laborious and time consuming than reeling in a swordfish.
Just think CZcams wasn’t even a thing back when this was made lol those were the good old days wish things were still like that but sadly those days are forever long gone now
I graduated that year and this video and many like it one CZcams are amazing. Like it's been said, no one ever thought thousands from across the country or beyond would watch these one day on an internet. Whatever happened to the teacher sitting on the desk? She seemed very pleasant.
I graduated in "86" in Vancouver< I do think about how close we all where back then, at one time those friends is all I had, Ozzy claxk, mary Quint, Kristen keel, wonder where they all are now?I hope that Jerry staton is alright, Hope that Charlie Cunningham finally found what he was looking for, and Steve porter learned to laugh and smile, and Joe Lamton(Pigpen)learned to live a life of style and found himself a lady. Hope there ALL making it and have steady Jobs.
It's amazing looking close at everybody and not seeing everybody with they head down in they phone relationships and conversations and talking to people with direct eye contract was how it was back then cuz obviously phones and social media didn't exist people were force to actually interact and really live in the moment it's amazing watching this
No people buried in cell phones, No Internet, No woke mob, No hatred or division like we have today, No baggy pants, degrading rap music, or tattoos from head to toe, No flash mobs terrorizing people in stores, Biden wasn't president, Good Music, Malls, Beaches and overall, a better standard of living. ✌🙂 I'm not trying to change your mind. I know how life was back then & it was 10× better than the last 2 years
@GzeroAnimations Move on already...Try to continue having a miserable life why dont ya?!
I have more important things to do on my Sunday. 👋😁
Gen X the 80s the end of innocents. What a fun, no stress time!
I miss those days ,I was 17,when this was made and a junior in high school.
@GzeroAnimations go take your anger out somewhere else.
And you could only use it for personal use, like sitting at home showing the video to your family. It wasn´t like there was CZcams back then. So you couldn´t really do much with the film material, which is probably a reason why video recording wasn´t a big thing back then.
Class of '82..plus no one even wanted a camera.. there were Polaroids even one that instantly took a picture and ..no one cared to have one lol
@@wilE6764 Sony released the first consumer camcorder in 1983.
Back when schools were a happy place & were much safer.
Society hadn't decayed yet
I graduated in 88 it was so cool back then I hated school but loved that time period music was great people were great nobody got they’re little feelings hurt and I drove a 69 camaro life was good
And now we are all in our 40s!
Out out your prime,
Were you there?
U must be in your late 40s if you remember this. I was 9.
We're in our 50's now.
Wow
I'm class of 87.....woof I got old wtf......those where good times
These videos are so freaking surreal.
Grandma's and grandpa's now I was like 2 years old
“Where are you going to play this?” It’s like little does she know, 35 years later on CZcams lol
I grew up in the 80's. Damn, did we really look like that?!?
Yeah, we did. But, it was one helluva time!
Only in the early 2000s Y2k
Yes and we rocked their wearing their hair again like this now
I was in my twenties in the 1980s and even though I was finished high school by in 1978 I was a youth in that period having the time of my life with no ties on me and no problems. I would go back to those days in a second and anyone my age will say the same. The planet was safer and cleaner.
old school film.....i love these old records.....thanks for sharing!!!
class of 88 here.... best most chill times ever....
So glad I grew up in the 80s.
80's what an incredible time.
This is what life was like without cell phones and social media.
Note how camera-shy some were here too.
@@fordsrule35 Here in Britain we had only 4 television channels back then and huge mainstream viewing figures.

Brings back memories
True
I was 7 years old at this time. But i remember everything about this sweet late 80's / early 90's life as a kid. Computers were grey or beige boxes that did very little, MTV played music, people knew how to socialise. Fewer distractions, when you were out of the house you were just OUT and nobody could pester you, you could leave your bike outside a shop or your friends house and it would still be there later.
Back in the day when holding a camcorder gave you a tricep workout and just changing the focus or zoom was more laborious and time consuming than reeling in a swordfish.
Lol I had a zenith back then, and it was considered small
A time when people got along!
Ha! Yeah right!
Sort of depends on where you live to though

Just think CZcams wasn’t even a thing back when this was made lol those were the good old days wish things were still like that but sadly those days are forever long gone now
I graduated that year and this video and many like it one CZcams are amazing. Like it's been said, no one ever thought thousands from across the country or beyond would watch these one day on an internet. Whatever happened to the teacher sitting on the desk? She seemed very pleasant.
I was 7 years old in 1988. Man, I miss that era so much. Americans were much happier.
Best days of my life!
mine too!!!
are you here in this video?
you look like the girl at 8:20
I did attend Memorial Senior High School in Houston from 1986 to 1990!
Peyton II Cottrell do you know them
See the freedom people!!! They were smoking on school grounds. That was real freedom
Hahaha. That was the end of my Sophomore year. Getting ready to start the summer. Can't believe I'll be 52 this year. These were the best times ever.
This was the year I went from Jr highschool,to highschool the party's were epic.
Arriba los 80 yo nací en 1983 🎉me encanta esa época 🎊 🎉
I was 12 at the time of this video. brought back memories.
It's amazing looking close at everybody and not seeing everybody with they head down in they phone relationships and conversations and talking to people with direct eye contract was how it was back then cuz obviously phones and social media didn't exist people were force to actually interact and really live in the moment it's amazing watching this
Reminds me nice souvenirs...seems like it was yesterday. :)
Before tattoos an crazy piercings
No people still had tattoos and piercings
@@fordsrule35 I thought those were more of an early 2000s thing.
the 80s was amazing if you grew up during that time. 🎉 Especially seeing technology evolve from its infancy...
Man if we all could only go back to those days.
You must not have been alive then.
Exactly. Kids now don't realize how decayed their world has become because that's what they've always known. They're in the comments here. You can spot them a mile away. It's unfortunate.
Watching this 2023 as a 27 year old man I swear life is so weird !!!! And the concept of time is so marvelling!!! It's like time has got power over every living being that exists on earth but has no effect on God.,since he lives like forever and ever wow fascinating!!!
Watching it in 2023 makes me feel old lol generation x er
Great video. Congrats!!! I don’t know what life is like in America these days but I sure had a blast there back in the early to mid 90s. Good old days.

We had it so good compared to kids now

Not a person was worried and people were real and innocent. We always said Hey instead of Hi. Good video.
did you even watch the video? If it wasn't for the bad quality & clear 80's styles this could easily be any classroom today. Cursing, sexual jokes, the one girl worried about who would see this video (lol 25K & counting). Not as much has changed as you think.
Whats the difference between hey and hi?
The guy at the very end looked somewhat worried. By the way, hey/hay is for horses.
@@TheFreeThinkingMan Lol, that's just strictly dishonest. In the 80s gotta were boys and girls were girls. The teachers were different. The students were different. Because the culture was different. Nothing like today's classroom.
@@depletable Nope, that's just an illusion portrayed by certain media. Just because issues were more bottled up then doesn't mean they weren't there. But my young bro & his friends were just like a lot of these guys here, just with updated slang & fashion. He only graduated a couple years ago.
