I have been wondering for a long time too. I thought they would do this when they are sick and maybe have something done on their faces. But there must be a third reason.
They are must probably very tired and don't want their faces shown in pictures. They're just at the airport, not working, no obligation to show their faces if they don't want to. Plus airports are nasty anywhere, sometimes is good to have a mask and more in their cases with the sea of people mobbing them upon arrival.
