Fun fact: the Beldia/Dullahan fight was a bit more intense in the LN. To counter spellcasters, he spammed the curse he used on Darkness, on them and Darkness was described as bloody from all the hits (the anime lowers the amount of blood/graphic content from the LN.) Dullahan was also buffed by the Demon King and had a Holy Immunity spell on his armor, which is why the water was so important in the LN, as it washed away the immunity and let Aqua fully defeat him (Darkness was also useful and cut through his armor with an emotion-filled slash to make sure Aqua could purify him, which may have been overkill.)
This is based on the Dullahan myth, where water is a deterrent/weakness for the knight (the head drifting away/the heavy armor hindering movement/buoyancy and leaving the knight helpless in rivers.) To add onto Darknessâs accuracy in the anime, in the LN, itâs not that sheâs unable to hit, just that the chance is incredibly low and itâs not as big of a surprise in the LN when she hits her target (hence her hitting Dullahanâs armor in the LN, after Kazuma sends his head flying.) Konosuba has comedy, but Boss Fights are slightly more serious and the bosses are incredibly strong/OP, which is where the Wizardry inspiration shines through.
Some folk lore for you all: Dullahans have a few weaknesses, one being running water and another being their head, which is said to be their link to the mortal realm. The author's knowledge of folk lore and mythology is fairly good.
A Dullahan's fear of running water is also based on the possibility of them dropping their head in the running water and it being taken away out of their reach - since their body relies on the head's vision

Aqua's turn undead is much more powerful cause she's a goddess. Infact it's so stong that it can hurt Ains from Overlord.

@@Canadian_Teemo dunno. I assume you are referring to isekai quarter. Which i, honestly, dont hold for canon, as it just jokes with no consideration of powerscaling.
But just looking at Aqua's results. She couldnt kill or even incapacitate Dullahan with two spells. Only killing him after he is severely weakened by water.
Judging by Dullahan's power (even tho he wasnt doing much). I'd place him around the scale of Demiurge's minions.
In my opinion Aqua can dmg Ainz a little bit if he has no buffs and armor. As it took that guy with crystal and archangels, to use incredibly powerful spell to even scratch Ainz. And Ainz wasnt prepared that fight, since he asked Albedo to protect him.
@@romanpyatibratov4361 You aren't getting the full story here in the anime though. Aqua even mentioned that Turn Undead wasn't even working on the undead knights, and I don't think they were that powerful. The reasoning is mentioned in the Light Novel however. Verdia and his Undead Knights were wearing armor that was designed to specifically counter Turn Undead spells. That's why, although making them feel pain, they were protected in the end. In the LN, after the flood, Verdia's armor was cracked open, creating a weak spot that Aqua could target to finish him off.
So realistically, without gear to specifically counter that spell, it would be a tough call.
@@romanpyatibratov4361In the LN, the Demon King buffed them with Holy Immunity and Aquaâs basic Turn Undead bypassed neutralizing the damage to 0. Sacred/Elegant and etc modifiers buff these spells too, which only powerful Konosuba characters have access to.
Edited - Also, slight correction to the comment below. Water didnât really weaken Dullahan, but it washed away the Immunity spell and Darkness hit Beldia with her sword after the head was kicked around, opening a hole in the armor (Darkness is slightly more useful in the fight.)

Megumine doesn't _have_ to chant anything to make the explosions. She's just a freak like that. If you noticed, the chants are different each time.
She does have to chant since she gets Speed Chanting in the LN later on to speed it up, but she does have to focus to cast it. You probably mean that she doesnât have to chant a specific phrase, which is true, but the anime made a mistake and made Wiz chant the exact same phrase and caused some confusion.
Honestly,Aqua are highly pretty useful against Undead,dark type.....(Something like that)...it just she never take things seriously except her own problem.....She doesn't care about Kazuma obviously but his benefits is one of her priority.
Wait ..next episode gonna be interesting ....I hope you guys realize about one thing in that episode later.
For all she does, Aqua is still a goddes.
Megumin's explosions are always different. It may be an artistic style choice but I think it's because they're leveling up and she has more mana to use because they do get progressively more impressive as the series goes on.
She canonically levels up Explosion every time she levels up/gets SP, which is why she never has enough Mana to cast twice.
Aqua was useful in this ep if only she hadn't made more 40mil debt đ
