      @@gfire_productions yeah right now our church is in the process of having a building built so we are doing a setup and tear down every Sunday at a community center. We getting ready to upgrade to digital mixer and equipment.

      I was trying to figure out if we could plug the drum mics straight into the digital stage box.

    Man this is great
    I am gonna make this same set up . With the exception of mics . Think I am getting the set up without condenser mics.
    Maybe I will use a couple of Behringer for over head I have here . And I will use 10”ft and 15 foot
    Cables . But this is rad man
    I was about to get a little brother snake. .
    Great video and execution sir . Thanks

      That's awesome and the concept could be adjusted according to each individuals needs. To include adding even more cables for those who use snare top and bottom / kick in and out for example.

    I have 9 50' XLR cables and i'm setting up in a REALLY small room but i've spent so much already. I have 16 channels and would like to build a 16 cable snake. Would you buy 7 more 50 footers or buy all new shorter ones? Or mix-match lengths? Great video man I plan on doing this with whatever lengths I go with

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  Před rokem

      I would cut 8 of those cables in half and re-solder new XLR ends on them accordingly. That way you spend minimum amount of money for the upgrade by using what you already have available. Check this out: amzn.to/3fYUJdc

    I would not leave the microphones connected to that because they will get broken

    I've been going back and forth in my head between making something like this or investing in some of those new XLR Ethercon snakes (LyxPro). How do you feel about your drum loom years later at this point? Do you still use it or did you find something else that works better?

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  Před rokem

      Great question. I still is it. I personally thing the ethercon snake is a good idea for really long cables but I literally put my stage back x near the drummer so I done have to deal with an external step in my set up. My s16 is place near the drummer and all other band member plug in at the point.

    Wonder wy so many audioprofessionals don`t have better audiocontrol on there videos....

    • @gfire_productions
      @gfire_productions  Před rokem +1

      That's a great question and thanks for watching Woffsen. It's simple, many audio professionals are not that great at CZcams or videography at the beginning parts of their ventures. Like all things it takes practice. This video has not so great audio and video quality (iPhone 6) lol. I've personally improved on most of my video skills for CZcams during 2020. Questions like these are fair however, are meant to be constructive criticism or just simply a pessimistic point of view instead of getting the point. Sooooo… what can you offer as a solution and did you learn how to build a drum snake regardless? lol
