Seems like about a 5 ovr bump for "generational" considering previous ovr based on position. TE 75/80. HB 81/86 etc.

Nah that would make the game way too easy just like Madden 25. Because then the classes would have to be predetermined and therefore could be charted by someone online for everyone to use going forward. You’d never miss in the draft if that came back into Madden.
It doesn't have to be. The players themselves would, obviously, but there could just be a chance of them being added to drafts.
I don't see it happening, though, since they would be just as powerful as generational talents, but they would be surefire, known stars, unlike never fully knowing before the draft if a guy is generational or just really good.

I just did my first franchise n draft, haven’t seen anything too crazy yet! May actually be so excited for the game this year
I’ve enjoyed the draft system tbh. Except for seeing any team w the first 2 or 3 picks draft a qb no matter what. I always end up w amazing drafts, just taking your time and looking over the players that are slipping in the draft. Some of the best players I’ve ever gotten I never looked at during the scouting process

Bengals main franchise team has to be a bad team, hence requiring a rebuild. This narrows our teams down to:
Giants, Jets, Seahawks, Falcons, Texans, Jaguars, Bears, Lions, Panthers, and Commanders
However, he most likely wouldn't choose a team he's recently rebuilt in years past, so our list narrows down to:
Jets, Seahawks, Falcons, Bears, Panthers, and Commanders
And, the selected team also requires a bad QB, so that Bengal has the chance to either draft a fun, new QB and start a great storyline (which he has done in every franchise I believe) or a mid to bad QB whose career he can try and save, which narrows our teams down to:
Seahawks, Falcons, Panthers, and Commanders
Ideally, Bengal would want to choose a team that requires major overhaul on many positions across both sides of the football, meaning the chosen team should not have too much stacked talent in too many position groups, which ultimately leaves our list down to 2 teams:
Seahawks and Falcons
(Panthers defense is pretty solid and overall offensive weapons are good and Commies defense (mainly front 7) is near top of the league)
So it comes down to a coinflip: Heads - Seahawks; Tails - Falcons

RB’s and QB’s used to have cracked overalls. I think it was back in the days of Madden 17 where you could get an 84 overall superstar development QB pretty commonly

@@zacwoods That's wild. I saw a couple QBs running in the low 4.3s like 4.33-4.35 and ended up with 92-94 speed in my Madden 22 franchise, but if Madden 23 is going to have guys running in the 4.2s and have 97 speed as a rookie that's a game changer
@@poocrafter2 I don’t know that for a fact if that’s how it is but I’m just saying that would make sense based on how the ratings previously were. The fastest time ran was 4.2 flat so a 99 speed rating should be reserved for those who clocked 4.2-4.25 at the combine. Otherwise the ratings would be false and make no sense.
@@poocrafter2 This is also why I said in his previous videos that Madden needs to really use more of the rating scale not just 50 to 99. Because thats whats fucking all their sim stats and ratings up. Stop being afraid to rate players a 25 in some categories or hell a 25 OVR. That way there is a more clear definition between a 80 OVR Slot receiver WR and Lamar Jackson. Because currently there is no difference and thats ridiculously op for these receivers. I should be able to FEEL like im controlling Lamar Jackson and not just any old player. His 98 Speed and 98 Agility should allow me as the player to have TOTAL free control of his movements flawlessly. He shouldn’t need an X-Factor bonus for that. Thats what the Agility stat is supposed to be for. There should be 0 input lag from controller to Jackson’s feet. Or if im controlling Josh Allen and they’re trying to take me down in the pocket I should be able to STAND TALL because of his height and weight stats affecting his Strength attribute. (Which needs to matter more for QB’s than it does because a Punter shouldnt be able to throw a 50 Yard TD)

I kinda like this new system. It reminds me of Madden 15? 16? where you could get gems of QBs (81 or something) late and OL were as good values as they were in last Madden. Why not have freak 80+ players more often it's fun! They could always have a slider like 2K if people want more realistic draft prospect ratings

Barry Sanders was the best college RB ever. Still has the most rushing yards (2,628) and touchdowns (37) in a season. Averaged .3 yards more a carry than James.

A cool addition onto this would be late round generation picks. Like the greatest player of all time, Tom Brady, was taken in the 6th round. Would be cool to have a mechanic for some players to have a juiced progression or trait of some sort
It doesn't work like that. If you're projected to go in the 6th round, you're looking at bench player at best, several things need to go right in order for you to have the opportunity to showcase your skills. If Bledsoe don't get hurt, Brady doesn't play, if he was better than Bledsoe, he would've started over him. And also madden didn't do it.
