IMHO the Philippines needs to invest in their own shipyards when improving their fleets in the PCG or Philippine Navy. Philippine Citizens will benefit with jobs, and the economy will grow more quickly. Invest in your country and industry. Develop your steel industry and establish technology transfer so you can make your own. Establish standard Philippine equipment for your vessels and more control your own fate. The Philippines has great potential they have yet to tap in their growth and maturation in global trade.

We actually have now in Cavite shipyard , although it basically building the Acero Missile GunBoats from Israel, but it's a start though... Eventually that modernized Shipyard shall build bigger and more powerful Warships in due time, but for now they've started building a 32 m. missile Gun boats, and they are mass producing it as we speak....coz the plan was to build more at least a 24/48 units of FAIC's Acero class Missile gun boats....
