The scoreline says it all, these hidings were necessary for other teams to improve cos the shock of losing by such a margin at that precise time galvanized teams like Argentina, to massively improve their game, actually, there aren't many tier one sides that haven't been caned by 50 plus points by the AB's and every one of them have been better for it, on any given day now, it seems the AB's can be beaten, and beaten convincingly by many of those same nations, but Carlos Spencer, what a player, magic, seemed as tho he didn't play that many games for the AB's compared to say, Murtens or Carter, phenomenal players both, but Spencer had the crafty bag of tricks and was every bit as good around the park, great memories, thanks for the post.
