Regardless of what kind of person Philip was, regardless of any of my personal opinions about royal family, my heart aches for Elizabeth. Imagine having someone by your side for over 70 years and for this person to just be - gone. I cannot even phantom this kind of pain.
Both of them are almost complete the circle.... So Pain is huge when she's younger... But When she's old, she's just wise & patient enough to absorb it.
How much Matt Smith looks like Prince Philip just shows me that Philip was a very good looking man. He will be missedđđđ»â€ïž

@@lucyvoce9276 Well I started David Tennant right near the end and watched all of his backwards a bit, while also watching matt's as they came out. Need to finish calpaldi's and not up to date with the current doctor. Fave is tennant but ah smith is good second, and capaldi is third. Heard it has kinda gone a bit meh on the stories and action current but are fixing that.

Now I wanna start The Crown all over again. This is probably "the closest" we can ever to peek into their dynamics.
In marriage the war for dominance though subtle is ongoing. Here was a man who in marriage to the Queen had to give up his family name, his royal title of Greece and Denmark, his career, and submit to his wife. This movie clearly potrays that though we may give up all external titles and trappings the inherent trait to dominate the other still prevailed. R.I.P. Prince Philip.
In a lot of ways I understand what her majesty is going through. I married my husband at 18 years old, he was 20 years old, in June we will celebrate our 30th anniversary God willing. I understand what it is like to have a life partner, to have a person that you have walked through your entire adult life with to have memories with through your twenties and your 30s and your 40s, through literal sickness and health and babies and all of it. I cannot imagine what life would be like without my husband, now that we are reaching our fifties it is actually terrifying to me because for the first Time in our lives we are getting older and it truly scares me. When you have walked through your life and that person has simply always been there, my heart simply goes out to her because I just can't imagine what it must be like for her right now, she must just out of habit say to herself oh I need to tell him this and then realize that he's gone, oh he would think this is funny and then realize he's no longer here. I am truly praying for her because I just can't imagine what she is going through right now. There is no wealth, there is no Castle there is nothing that makes you feel better when you go through this type of situation and right now she is just a woman truly feeling very alone.
Yes - very much alone! To have outlived those she was closest too - her mother, sister and now husband. Imho Charles can't give her that support; Anne can (and does) so to do the Cambridges and the two York Granddaughters. Maybe, with her mobility issues the close of this year is an appropriate time for he to ask to be relieved of her Cape Town promise, to serve for he whole life, and allow Charles to take over whilst she is still alive to offer the guidance her will need.
Seeing this, knowing Philip is dead. Rest in peace your highness. And stay strong Queen Elizabeth.

I feel like my own grandmother has passed, she was the nations grandmother. The Queen served her country for 70 years and she was a wonderful woman.
