It doesn't play bad. It controls almost like the arcade game. Then again, some may debate that the original arcade game didn't control that good either.
@@solarflare9078 Nah, the original isn't all that great either, I usually ignored it at the arcade back then. For racing I'd still rather go with a Super Scaler game like Outrun. 3D games still weren't really ready for prime time yet. This port though is more impressive as just a technical feat for running on a stock Genesis. The high clock speed of the CPU gave it enough overhead to calculate and render all that geometry and still maintain a somewhat playable frame rate.
Loved playing this, even if back in the day I knew this was ropey as hell in terms of this game being way too demanding for the console, yet despite all this, great mems of running the cow over.

It surprises me that there never was an attempt to port this to the SNES using the Super FX chip.
Probably because it was an Atari/Tengen game. They were on Nintendo's shitlist at the time.

Impressive from a technical standpoint (the Mega Drive didn't need no damn Super FX chip to render polys) but the part where you play it just sucks.
