Wartburgs rock !!! Four speed on column with freewheel rules !!! Seems to me, it´s the Baja area, where you´re drivin ...? Do you know by any chance, how much the fees to get a German car registered on Hungarian license plates ? I´m gonna move to Hungary soon, get a lakszim card and wanna get a car registration. I see you shifting the second gear first in order to shift into the first gear. As far as I know, this is only necessary or common when driving a Wartburg 1.3 due to its not well constructed gearbox. Am I right you are doing this since you are used to do so when driving a 1.3 ?
Slav Yoda - As slow as he shifts gears he does it without clutch, I guess. Downshift without using the clutch was normal with the 353 because of the free-wheeling, upward it needed a bit of sense and patience for the matter - but it worked (except 1st gear and reverse, of course).
@Mikey 45 lovas. A segességek másképp vannak, mint a Trabantba. A váltó mechanizmusa is összetettebb, mint a Trabanté, ahol "csak egy sétapálca" van, a Wartburgban pedig finom mechanikus elemek alkotják a kapcsolót és rudazatját.
