My understanding is that even if you negate Rusty's other effects, it still cannot be used as link material, but I don't think that's very clear as far as the text goes. Someone told me that the OCG has a special part of the text on their cards that separate conditions and make them more clear.

    • @lilsunny7399
      @lilsunny7399 Před 2 lety +41

      it's more that chaos as a strategy, like purposefully playing lights and darks together to enable BLS or Sorc fell off. Some decks later like B.A. and Thundra could justify running chaos cards by having either dual attributes like thundra or hand trap/tech choices to fill the other side like BA playing veiler or ogre. Even then it was mostly a teched in BLS or Levianeer.

    The reason this list wasn’t playing Omega is because it came out in LTGY. Maybe if it and Sombre had come out alongside the rest of the deck it wouldn’t have been overshadowed by the Rulers, but I doubt it considering the deck lacked ways to compensate for the advantage lost by having to use two cards in hand to do anything relevant.

      @LightshaverConstellation Před 2 lety

      I wept as well. And yes that was always the issue when I played constellars back then. If constellars actually generated advantage I do think it easily would have been a tier 1 at one point because you catch a glimpse of it star chart builds. There was actually a one duel I had where I out paced d rulers because I was going + 3 on each of our turns. But star chart has it's own issues and only really good in multiples with other cards and cradle kinda sucked because losing the bp did suck you needed to manage your Pleiades bounces and needed just to keep smaller stuff off the board so they can't xyz next turn or just actually do damage. I do think sombre pre LTGY would have been interesting because I think macro stelars would be the way to go, but at the same time you can realistically 1 for 1 out or smartly out trade everything but mermail and in some starts dino rabbit. At the very least it would allowed for more common overlaying m7 on a omega since it is less specific then praesepe and you are normally in a winning position if your opponent doesn't kill the m7 on their turn because you get to actually get advantage back. It was heavily underrated in march 13 format though. The deal ruler match up wasn't bad if you knew to play floodgates right, evilswarm is normally free, and the floodgates kinda beat most other playable decks if you went first or you went second and didn't get hand sniped or something. Besides spellbooks. Spellbooks was a pain because you won or lost on the coin flip usually as you won if you opened tkr or deck lock down but then the game 3 you just win because you almost always just won when you go first but you had to open drool going second in the one game 2 or 3 you went second unless they somehow opened the jowgen with no protection outside a fate because then you can possibly pollux additional normal over the jowgen but you normally only get that play game 1 because they auto assume you are rulers.

    Idea for a "season 2" of history of yugioh seeing as you can't really do a season 2 like for progression. How about a series exactly like this but following the OCG? it would be very rewarding for both viewers and you and joseph yourselves getting to learn more and play through the history of the other side of the card game. I imagine most viewers know very little of the OCG and its meta throughout the years. Not sure how familiar you guys are with it. You could start from whatever point it starts to diverge from the TCG since i know they're basically the same at the start.
    Only thing against it is that other people have done videos like that but if you wanted to avoid doing something thats been covered before this series wouldn't exist. I don't think the other history series have this format. And maybe as mini series you guys could do history of duel links and even master duel when that gets older.

The boss monster only has Constellar in it's name because it shares the lore about star "constellations". Look at the alternative summoning condition. The official response from Konami after YCS Meadowlands in May of 2013 where judges ruled it could be negated was that if the effects aren't negated the moment they are on the field(such as by skill drain) then the effect applies for the rest of the turn no matter what happens to the monster.
      So technically if they were at the tournament in May 2013, the Veiler would have been legal and stopped the extra normal, but immediately after the tournament Konami would state it doesn't actually work that way.

Losing the fiendish chain honestly just sucked because it forced the tkr getting 2 for 1 instead of getting the tenki for bear next turn.

    • @LightshaverConstellation
      @LightshaverConstellation Před 2 lety

      Pain I just saw the second Tkr and knew where this was going. Tkr was really just that much of a demon in the match up unless you played the br to 1 for 1 it and actually drew it. It's also why constellars would probably be better in the latter formats but at the same time part of it is this build. It really should have really been play tkr itself because even though you can't search under it, your opponent has to deal with or lose and it's arguably the best ns in the game then along with being light. And this build plays significant backrow which is even better for thunder king. More then anything this build in particularly for this time needed some more work imo even though I do see there's a lot right here.

      Would have been amazing. I loved constellars to death and did well with them in 2013-2015 but I skipping this whole tcg format to play ocg because no sombre and omega and that would have been massive here. The only real awful match up was mermail or rabbit but the side deck does much work vs mermail and rabbit was doable if you don't open bad/depends on your main deck and who goes first.

    Bounce gorz and make m7 was 100% the play. Mbt's lp was low enough any direct attack would kill him, gorz would just brick his hand, and prevents the token crash.

    cimoment, when cimo makes pleiades with a lv5 and lv6 (kaus effect isn't until the end of the turn, it's a permanent increase for some reason)

    Yeah I feel consteller Sombra not begin out yet really hurt constellers.

    Ah yes. Pleiades, my favorite Rank 5 monsters that I can make with a Level 6 and a Level 5 monster lol.

    The take that Chaos never topped ever again is just wrong unless we are talking pure chaos. Jesse Kotton Alone has so many tops with some 60 card Thunder Dragon Chaos lists.
