I sold products exactly like that back in the Ostrom Outdoors days! I still have some buckets and a cooler as well as the pocket organizer...they are handy for sure
Watching to see if Andy was wearing same shirt from last year...nice improvements. Awesome ancient drink crystals weren't large clumps. I hear that lite beers freeze to help keep other things cold.
These are brilliant. Hopefully they’ll all be in stock soon to buy.
Suggested upgrade. Make them water tight and they can double as a camp sink or bucket.
Do you acutally use a camping sink?
@@ktownc936 depending on length of trip and how many are in the party, I will bring a collapsible sink for washing up or toting water. It's really about making something a multitasker versus uni-tasker without adding extra bulk or weight.
Hey Andy, I would love to see a video on your 20l barrel and how the storage system works with them.
Just an idea ... although it may seem a bit redundant ... but us solo canoe / campers might like to see a similar video showing the 20 L barrel. I understand that it uses the same size storage bags, pocket organizers and probably even the cooler bag, but it would be great to see it. Also, could you show how the 20 L barrel fits inside of a selection of portage packs / dry bags, like the MEC Slogg packs, Eureka 75 L & 115 L packs and others. (and 20 & 30 L side-by-side) Thanks! Love all the videos!!
What a great idea Andy love it.
Looks like a great little system
Totally love this. This is going to be my new gear for 2021
Love these! I want to get one soon.
Love the concept.
Neat 👍
Great video 🤙
Great idea thanks 🇨🇦👍
Great vlog as always. Q - why don’t the regular dividers have zipper lids like the coolers. I always lay the barrel down so I could see small items moving around? Happy Paddling.
I bought my first 30L and 60L Barrels and harness at the outdoor show this year and excited to try them out this spring. I have always just used dry bags but this looks like a better solution. I like the idea of the organizers but since I have both the 30L and 60L it's not in the budget to outfit both barrels so my question is this. If these organizers are soft, would the ones made for the 60L not fit fine in the 30L but you would only be able to expand them less and hold less or am my missing something which is probably more likely.
I want that cooler!!!!!!
Nice!!
I'm going to go broke when he gets more stock in
Nice, 'nough said.
Take my money. Where can I buy?
Where do you find pricing for the 30L cooler and the 30L barrel buckets?
good question...but I just found a sheet of paper Andy left in my porch : 30 l cool - 29.95, barrel buckets 17.95, pocket organizer 19.95 - is it wrong of me to ask for a % at this point LOL
Oh, if only these were available in the U.K.
If you store barrel on the side. Do items come out of the buckets
Maybe. But if you compact everything it should be fine. I've actually never had a probolem with that. But I've never really thought about it as well until you mentioned it. Good point.
Andy!! So happy to see you on here! Did you buy Bill Ostrom’s old business?
@@TheHappyCamper I was looking into getting some a while back, I seen some with a full zipping lid, but I think that was by Cooke custom sewing (barrel bags)
I guess if you ate most of the food they wouldn't be so full (them being packed full would initially prevent the stuff from moving around). So that might be an issue...
@@TheHappyCamper also kevin...random question... the little “lock” that goes through the barrel clamp. What do you use to replace those when they go missing or get damaged. I have been looking around for solutions online
Love the concept of the 30liter barrel and the bags, cooler, etc...why don't we see different color plastic barrels out there? They're always that hideous blue tarp blue. The reason i ask is that we do float trips in bear country where there are no trees for hanging. It's always a challenge to hide this color and the cover we have for it smells like it's contents.
Watched this video, and immediately went to order the 2 bags and the cooler in 60 L. Not in stock... 😑🤦🏻♂️
Tang! Hahaha
I wish they still sold the barrel at Mec
They don't. News to me. Andy never tells me anything.
KCHappyCamper last time I checked at the Mec in Vancouver it was not avail :(
My mistake it looks like they have it again
