Devdas is a romantic drama based on a novel by great bengali novelist Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. That's why the theme, costume and other aspects of the film are based on Bengali traditions and culture.

Even as a 9 year old boy who was more into looney toons and shakalaka boom boom I was obsessed with that film. Never seen a better romance on screen. That bridge scene is too good, subtle and so perfectly done.

I remember chatting with my late dad a long time ago about this novel. I am an avid reader of novels, which I got from my beloved dad.
I would say the most iconic pairing of SRK is with Juhi Chawla. She is also one of the most iconic actresses of 90s. She is the one who hs done most films with SRK. They have worked together as lead in eight films. They are very close best friends in real life as well as business partners. They both own jointly Red Chillies which is a bollywood movie production house and they both are joint owners of Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in IPL cricket league which is the biggest cricket franchise league in the world.
Yes, he did more movies with Juhi, but none of their films ever gained the popularity of DDLJ, or even KKHH or K3G, which is why his pairing with Kajol is the more talked about one.

Maybe you should try improving your reading comprehension. I never said Juhi wasn't popular. I said her movies with SRK never gained the popularity as those he did with Kajol, which is the truth. Juhi and Aamir had more popular movies together back in those days like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Love Love Love, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, etc.

1. Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan were madly in love in the late 90s and their onscreen romance was also shipped by fans. However, it all went south when Aishwarya ended their romance after enduring Salman's 'alcoholism' and 'abuses (verbal, physical and emotional)'. Salman loves Aish too much , kind of very obsessive love , though later he never get married. (I got this from news, an one award show Aish had injured on her hand and Sridevi mam help her, I don't know which is true or false. )

Yes, "Devdas" is a very heavy romance traumatizing drama movie which is written by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay(famous bengali writer , his max stories are these types of love story which is written beautifully describing manners, we bengali loves to read his stories , novels etc) This story based on class , background mannerism love story which is also triangle love but with friendly touch . But, I think you are yet not ready for this.
3. Yes, "Veer Zaara" also heart breaking love story and so much going on but ending is very satisfying . So, you can check this plus music score also amazing.

2:17 Baazigar and the next movie Darr are Sharukhs early forays into Villian roles. He's not playing a romantic hero in these two movies but early on he experimented with negative roles and actually did very well. He received his film fare award for best actor in a negative role for Darr way before he received his first best actor in a lead role award. SRK is very versatile, unfortunately most directors just want him for his romantic work because that sells like hot cakes but he's got tremendous range that barely gets utilised.
Exactly from darr ,to Swades, chak de , fan , mnik , few films which that tell what srk and his range is ,but now we are seeing his most exciting avtaar the action hero❤️❤️
He was so good in Darr , he scared the hell out of me with that psycho role😂😂😂

"Is this(devdas) sad?" I watched Devdas when I was 12. I was bawling my eyes out and I swear to myself not to watch it again because the pain from crying was horrible. I regret how he wasted his life because of love. This is one of SRK's most epic acting. I don't like the ending but if we are to be realistic, not all love has happy ending.

He is all rounder whether it's fashion, tradition, style, genres of movie, hair style, with actresses etc every single thing suit him. ❤❤
He was king of action even before but his choice film of from 2015 to 2018 was really bad and just because of his stardom only 2 movie were flop but now king is back and look like his film choice are much better and dunki was always going to be 700-800 cr movie but the way his other two films performed i think he might just broke 1500 records if it clicked in china then dunki will become highest grossing movie of India.

There are a lot of actors who has done many movies like him but he is a very special actor in terms of charisma, showcasing emotion, producing mass entertainment, acting, dancing, being wise and intellectual, being famous, being a good speaker, accepted by all and overall uplifting Bollywood in his own ways. He is not just Bollywood, he is an emotion to everyone. That is why when Bollywood was dying he gave the industry a new era. Even in this age with the movie Jawan he broke all the previous records which was held by his own movie Pathan. Just watch Jawan if you want to enjoy one of the best Bollywood movies ever.

His negative shade and action role looks always way better than his typical romance role whenever he tried any other kind of roles ( in my name is khan, darr, bazigar, don, don 2 , etc ) he always nailed it... World famous superstar from India for a reason..

Devdas is kind of like an indian romeo and juliet. its a VERY VERY famous romantic novel that has been adapted multiple times. SLBs is the most commercially successful., but the 1950s adaptation by the actor Dilip Kumar might be the most critically acclaimed. Though there are many adaptations

19:42 I'm commenting a lot on this but just an important note, SRK during this time debuted two rising phenomenal female leads into Bollywood back to back, Deepika in Om Shanti Om and Anushka in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Both great movies that launched two very credible and talented actresses.

Salman Khan was abusive toward Aishwarya when they were dating. She was even on set with SRK for the film Chalte Chalte when Salman showed up and trashed the set and dragged her out of there. It resulted in her being replaced in the movie and from other massive films like Veer Zaara as well.

No,one day out of the total number of days for Diwali is new year according to the Hindu calendar.. but in India we celebrate all the festivals including Christmas new year,Eid etc. Since hinduism is very pluralistic and embraces diversity in Hinduism itself all Abrahamic religions are also accepted..i grew celebrating all of them but in our own way..
