  • "Stearmen Rule" is a music video segment of the documentary "That They Might Fly Again - Part 1" available at fitzvideo.com on Blu-ray or DVD. Although monoplanes have existed since very early in Aviation, most people think of Biplanes when you mention Classics or Antique Aircraft. And when you talk about Biplanes, the Stearman Biplane has become the generic term people use when they think of the Golden Age of Flying. In keeping with this, Brian FitzGerald has assembled some interesting footage of some beautifully restored Stearman Aircraft that was gathered at three different venues in three of our United States.

Yes. They are a great plane. I have much more regarding Classic Planes. This is just a music video break in one movie. Go here to see what I mean:

You are welcome. By the way, this is just a small part of one of my three documentaries on Classic/Vintage Aircraft and their owners. If you want to see them, go here:

Great video Brian. I am lucky enough to be the custodian of 374 here in Australia. Your video is one of the best Stearman Vids I have seen.
    Well done.

      Dear Michael,
Thanks for your "thumbs up"! I get about a penny every time someone watches one of my movies so comments like yours are the coin of the CZcams realm. I feel like I received a gold sovereign today. Please refer my work to others.
I love the Stearman and am fortunate to reside in the area (Wichita, KS) from whence it came. A couple of miles from my house is Stearman Field.
As an owner of a classic, you might like to look at my movie "That They Might Fly Again - Part 2". It has some very nice planes in it. Over the next couple of years I will be uploading "Part 1" and "Part 3".
Although I love the classic/vintage airplanes, they are too rich for my blood. Nonetheless, I think you would enjoy seeing what (and how) I fly the Great Plains. I just put up my latest effort called "Autumn Air". I used 6 POV cameras on my plane and flew around the area. Please remember to up the resolution to 1080p. I wish the resolution on CZcams was as good as my master file but I still think you'll get the drift.

***** G'day Brian, Thanks for your reply.
I will certainly check out your other productions. Its quite rare to find nice Stearman stuff on the net. That would be great to live in Wichita. I trained at the Beech factory in the late 90s to lear to fly the B 1900. Very interesting town.
      Congratulations on your productions.
      Cheers,
      Michael.

Thanks! I will be releasing a similar piece featuring WWII planes. It is at the end of "That They Might Fly Again" Part 3. I am uploading it in pieces. As a subscriber, you will be informed when these parts go up.

Terrific Stearman video! Good flying and taxiing sequences, and a superb job catching the sounds of these iconic aircraft. Even the music was excellent with the Big Band sounds of the Stearman and her era, and not that cow's ass rap crap of the loser "woke" generation. Really enjoyed it! Thank you. Mike Kelly "Old School Aviator" and Stearman pilot.

Thanks! You get what it's all about. This was shot at the annual fly-in at Blakesburg, Iowa and the BiPlane Fly-In at Junction City, KS. and some at Brodhead, Wisconsin among other spots.
BTW. In case you didn't know, this music video is just one small segment embedded in ONE of my THREE documentaries on Classic/Vintage Aircraft.
