Not every movie is for everyone, that does not make them "haters", people do not have to agree on everything, what a boring world that would be if everyone thought alike.

Regarding story, T2 was just a 2-hour chase where eventually you mourn/cry for a cyborg. It’s the execution of what happens during the chase that makes the difference along with themes explored, character performances, etc.
Also, the Na’vi are around 10 feet tall so those statues don’t seem to be to scale
In short Titanic has a story that ship sinks & lot of people died...boom it's director's job how to present it..i believe in Cameron.
When people say " l enjoyed the first movie more than this one but the action in this one is just incredible & moving from the forests to the sea was breathtaking in scope & that the story is simplistic." What does that even mean?
If you as a director is counting on having 13 year old kids coming to see your movies, why would Cameron give the young audience a complicated story? Ponder on that.
