A great night for all True Blues and one we had waited 14 years for. All the sweeter for that terrible hiatus. Let's hope it's the start of a new era at EFC, one in which we no longer live in the shadow of our rivals from across Stanley Park.

I don't wish to sound like I am stuck in the past but I cant see the sense or need for lining up and then shaking hands with the opposition. Just run out, warm up then kick off.

I think it stems back to what happend back in the 80’s with football violence. Fair play handshake to show good spirit and attitude. I could be wrong though

@@Philtymo I don't think that is the case Phil. I think it is just something th FA and the TV channels thought would look good when the match was televised live. I wouldn't take offence if somebody told me something different. Good luck this weekend for the team you support whoever they are.
