  • The Jeep Wrangler has been that off road go to for decades and hasn't changed much over the years. Under the hood of this Unlimited Sahara is is the 3.6l V6 that is pumping out 285HP, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission rolling and rolling on a rugged 4x4 system! The exterior of the Sahara features unique styling and wheels. On the inside you get an 8.4in UCONNECT infotainment system and plenty of tech. Is the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Worth buying with a 6-speed manual?

@@RaitisRides yes, save the manuals my friend! I'm glad Honda and Hyundai are still giving quite a few manual options. Just that the base models seem to be getting them. Unless it's a sporty model...and that I can't afford. However I did get a 2018 Elantra se with the manual. Great deal, reliable, quiet, great mpg. But not very quick. I guess it's the mpg trade off.

I own a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0 l 6 cylinder with a 5 speed manual. I paid just over $21k brand new which is about $31k in today's money. Today's Sahara being close to $50k is almost unbelievable. (Granted the amenities, technology and safety have improved) Times, prices and demand have changed for this segment since 2001, and they're selling. Great review and channel, Joe!

I have a '97 TJ 4-banger (original owner). Since the days of the YJ, the Sahara trim has always been the most beautiful, the most desirable, and an absolute classic.
Yes, the Rubicon trim is the "grandaddy" king of offloading, but the Sahara is an absolute gem.
It is the gentleman 's Jeep. That's the trim I'd order for myself.
...and yes, I'd still hold on to my 2.5L TJ 😁👍

My company's fleet got a crap ton of Wrangler Sahara and Unlimited's. Two in one day couldn't be used because they both had service transmission messages both with only 1000ish miles and were shifting horribly. Brand new, just unbelievable for the money. Every Wrangler also has some design defect with the rain gutters because if you open the doors when it's wet, it just drips all inside the car and on you.

I just bought a 2020 Sahara Unlimited Altitude with the power roof auto transmission. Super nice. It is noisy (wind) and you likely won't even get the 17 mpg. city. The ride is
nicer than you'd probably think though not really smooth obviously. You're not taking sharp turns at much speed of course but they have a really tight turn radius and very maneuverable.
Mine has a rear arm rest with 2 cup holders. Don't know if Joe missed that one or if some don't have it? Now is a really good time to buy. They came down like 9k on mine.

Since I virtually know nothing about Jeeps, this review was fascinating for me and of course informative. Hearing you describe the rear taillight design, fwiw, those old gas cans that you said were attached back-in-the-day were actually known as Jerry Jugs or Jerry Cans. They actually go back to WW2 in that our military would confiscate them from the German (aka the Jerries) tanks that they "killed" and strap them to their Jeeps for extra fuel. Eventually I believe Jeep manufacturers starting making U.S. Jerry Jugs because the idea was so popular with the troops. Lastly, yes, I was surprised you could get this with a manual. It makes sense though for the overall package Jeep want to present. Love it. I'd love to know how many Jeeps are still on the road from let's say 1950. Probably more than any other vehicle I bet. I agree on the interior. Cloth does not work for such a utilitarian vehicle. No "real" Zonks as to being a deal breaker, except maybe . . . . the price.

    Hi
    Good Afternoon
I love all your videos you have made in the past but with all the respect of the world comments of the food and candies during your reviews it make them feel cheesy and like you’re not taking your work seriously. I hope I haven’t offended you at all. I live I the Wesley Chapel area and do you have a great reputation as a car enthusiast and reviewer and I would like to see you succeed. Because you deserve it.
    With all respect Jay.

I think the food jokes are part of his schtik. Yours is the very first comment out of thousands I’ve read that hasn’t been supportive or enjoyed. And that’s okay. But every reviewer has some kind of comedy or humor or joking and we need that in the world right now with all the 100k lives that have been lost and untold suffering. I think the sheer volume of videos Joe is delivering shows he has both hands on the wheel in terms of taking auto journalism seriously. And it can’t always all be serious. I laugh and chuckle at all the humor he brings to us and it’s free to watch. I respect your comment and it’s not aimed at me of course but aimed at him. It surprised me to read your disapproving view. But... we all can either watch and enjoy or have the option not to watch. I don’t think Joe will change his delivery for you tho because you are simply out voted by about 100,000 to 1. Yours is a first to say Joe doesn’t take his work serious or that it’s cheesy. I bet you will get more replies to your comment. If you get to know Joe and his wife Lori they have committed a huge part of their lives filming, traveling, editing, replying to us, and setting up a mercy store and hosting lives on CZcams. Hopefully you get on board and let Joe bring you more laughs. Don’t be a sour puss lol. Learn & laugh & support. Become a member of the Raitis rides family!

By the time you get your licence hopefully Chrysler Fiat is no longer tormenting car owners who spend their hard earned money on unreliable crap boxes. I used to be a dodge fan boy. I was constantly made fun off. Then I owned a couple. Never again.

    Curious about Reliability?
I’ve always wanted one but have only heard how bad reliability Jeep /Chrysler products have been. But For $50,000 unless I’m living on the beach or an island it just doesn’t make sense.

THE DRIVERS SEAT DOESN'T GO BACK FAR ENOUGH!. I am a fan, but man sometimes you miss essential things. I test drove one of these and I am only 5'11 and it was uncomfortable, the drivers seat was like sitting in a tight back seat. You were very close to the steering wheel, weren't you uncomfortable? To me, it's missing a notch to move it back far enough to be comfortable - and I am only 5'11!

That’s crazy expensive, it’s creeping up into near the new base Defender which is much nicer and more capable IMO. Just like Joe said they need to knock the price down about 7-10K or the only people buying these will be hardcore Jeep fans.
