The CAL for Anno 1926 will start on September 2nd, 2021, in my Facebook group Haaksteek / 383731435363230 .
It is divided into 17 parts. From the 2nd part on, every next part will be released bi-weekly.
The pattern will be available in 15 languages: Afrikaans, Danish, Dutch, English UK terms, English US terms, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Indonesian, Italian, Persian, Portuguese, Spanish, Urdu.
It is a challenging pattern, with lots of special figures and stitches. It requires concentration and accurate reading of the descriptions. However, the descriptions are very detailed, with lots of pictures.
And wonderful Tania Leis makes a video for every part as support.
My childhood memories are the template for this huge blanket.
With DK yarn and hook size 4.5, my blanket is 240 x 180 cm.
Heidrun Liegmann made her wonderful Anno in fingering yarn and hook size 3.5 mm. Her blanket is 140 x 100 cm.
Great tiny woman, my mom.
I dedicate this CAL to her by naming the blanket after the year of her birth: Anno 1926.
Weaving my precious and cherished childhood memories into Anno makes it so special. I hope you’ll have as much pleasure in making your own Anno 1926, as I had in designing it - and I hope you will remember similarly wonderful scenes of your own childhood.

Thanks for a wonderful tutorial, have just started the cal as I am sat by my father's bed who is sadly to leave us, so this blanket is a memory of him and something to keep me occupied
Sorry to hear your dad is so ill. Sending you kind wishes. This blanket is a great way to help you thru.
@@Soffity Unfortunately my father died on September 17th. But I plan to make this blanket in his memory
What a generous person you are !
You kindness is overwhelming.
Also, artistic in making fantasy "real".
Your tutorials are always such a help. I go back and forth between the written pattern and your videos and find I don’t have any troubles. (Fingers crossed) thanks very much for your time and effort. ♥️🇦🇺🌈 I love interesting, beautiful, challenging patterns and this one fits all the bills.. Wonderful.
Thank you for making a tutorial for those of us that can't comprehend patterns! I've been eyeing this afghan for a while.
I'm working on Sophie's universe now but this is on my list to do. So glad you have videos of this.
Unbelievably generous of you to make these tutorials. Thank you so much! Starting this project this weekend, and I’m so excited
Colleting my yarn now. This is beautiful. Thank you for this.
This is by far the most intricate blanket I have ever made. I made it to part 17 and my blanket is now done - so beautiful. This is definitely not for beginners 🙂
Just started this CAL today (April 14-22). Lovely blanket. Your video is fantastic. Thanks for all of your hard work.
I just finished this first part. It took me a whole week 😅. I love it soooo much. I’ll keep you posted on my progress and put a
Thank you for sharing this tutorial it's on my list . I'll save it and continue watching your talent 🙏
Wow I love it thank you so much for sharing this beautiful work. God bless you ❤️
Thank you. This has been a God sent video. I really needed help. I was lost around round12
I think there is an error in round 10, before you do the sc, ch3 sc into the space at the top of the spoke there should be a chain after the previous sc. that’s what the pattern says anyway. Same with round 16. It’s a fpdc ch1 then 19 fphdc ch1 then a pfdc ch1. I think the video misses you saying that last stitch. Thanks again for your time and effort doing these videos they are such a great adjunct to the written pattern.
I agree! I have watched it several times over, and it only makes sense that the extra chain is missing from the video. I was looking in the comments to see if anyone mentioned it. Thank you for commenting. I'm not a hugely experienced crocheter, so I was confused. Although I think you mean round 11.
Just starting this one. It’s beautiful and I am excited to get going.
Dank je wel voor deze uitleg!
Thank you very much!
I am proud to say that I got this part done. I'm using acrylic yarn with a 4.5 crochet hook. It's turning out great, aside from a few tiny hiccups that I fixed in the round. :) Onto Part 2. :)
This is absolutely gorgeous..
Wow!!😱😍 Thanks from Brasil 🇧🇷👏👏👏😘😘

It's Saturday April 9th and I just finished Helen shrimpton's Octagonical cal and it was maybe an hour and I got bored so I checked to see if I had the colors for Anno and I did so it's now 1am Sunday morning and I'm going to take a break and get some sleep but I will be back at this tomorrow. Thank you so much for your tutorials. 💗

Would I be able to crochet in size 4 yarn? Love this pattern and your detailed directions.
Yes need to use a 5mm hook and project will be larger and use more yarn.
This blanket looks like it may be a cross in the middle or is that a coincidence .
in row 5 the writen pattion called for a tr but you do a dc ??
I’m using the US English terms which says dc. Are you looking at the UK English perhaps?
Where can I get the pattern from please and thank you
Information is available in the description of this video. On computer it should be visible. On phone there will be a little arrow type mark to click to see the description….. Facebook group “Haaksteek” or ravelry though is where you go
can I make a suggesting please. Time stamps for each row would be really usefull
I have started doing this in later parts. As time allows I’ll come back and update these earlier parts! ❤️
@@hookedbytj I LOVE the time stamps. Makes it so much easier! Thank you!!
Can I get a written pattern?
You sure can! The link is in the description below this video. Or search in Ravelry
It’s on Ravelry under the designers name and it’s free, wow,
E bellissima peccato che non è in italiano
No lo podrían traducir a español soy de México muchas gracias bendiciones
The written pattern is translated into Spanish (see ravelry or Facebook Haaksteek) and in video you should be able to turn on captions and see Spanish.
This looks like a lovely project. I have much experience crocheting mandalas and unfortunately, although this one is so pretty, your video is rather awful. Sound is far too low, lighting is terrible, and you should really work on the way you instruct. I'll continue crocheting this mandala with alot of difficulty with your video. Anyway, thanks for it.
Thanks for the feedback. There is a written pattern available on Ravelry that you can work from instead.
You can slow down the video in settings. I think she did a marvelous job with the videos
I'm a new to crochet and I have been able to follow along fine.
