- We are on the final day of our Laos Road trip, where we started in Vientiane and worked our way around the famous route of the Thakhek loop. We are now on our last day of the loop, which starts in the most beautiful area of Laos, overlooking the landscape and limestone cliffs!
After a great start to the day, it’s time to get on the road… we have the longest drive of the trip left! we first complete the loop by returning to our starting point in Thakhek, but then not only do we drive all the way down to Savannakhet, but the following day we continue all the way down south to Pakse. Savannakhet offers the most fantastic accommodation where the sunset takes our breath away! Another amazing couple of days of driving through Laos's beautiful and unexpected country.

When I went to Chiang Rai in Thailand, I sat by the Mekong River and looked at Laos, saw the intricate mountain ranges in it, and thought that I might go there one day to visit the perfect nature. This video rekindled me.

I herd the cowbells Watch for rocks while driving. Had no idea that was Thailand. Police said OK OK [ great ] room looked fair Amazing view while eating breakfast. I really love seeing Thakhek from Nakhonpanom side. Laos mountain range is so fascinating. I hope one day I’ll be on that side of Khong river. By the way I just got back from Mukdahan. A quite small city opposite to Sawannakhet.

I'm an old motorbike nut but it seems so much more relaxing and chilled travelling by car. One Q please, what sort of license is needed in Lao? I have heard some places won't accept international, well done and cheers, safe travels. ❤
It was very relaxing! We only needed a U.K. drivers licence when it came to renting the car. We were stopped by police twice to check licence and paperwork and it was all good then too! 😍🤗

I've loved following you guys around southeast Asia. Just curious about the drone shots of Bertie though. Does the drone follow you automatically? Do you have to limit your speed bit so that it can keep up? Looking forward to the next installment. 😀
Thank you!! Haha we do have to slow down a bit so that the drone isn’t tooooo far away (if we are too far out of range it’ll lose track and just hoover!). It does follow us automatically, the drone we have has a setting for that! 🤗

Most of the time we paid by cash 🤗 but for the car we managed to pay with a U.K. bank card!

If there wasn't much to see id just fly through and slow down in towns, Go like 80+ if just flat straight road even if it's dirt as long I'm not on the edge of a mountain I get done in 4 &1/2 hrs tops, toilet breaks and slowing down going through town
Vientiane - Thac Khek is currently under construction (there will be four lanes) and only 20% therefore the roads are dirty and yammu
Should be a good road once fixed

@@2Passports1Dream and the roads Vientiane - Vang Vienge are also under construction now, so the roads are dirty and dusty !!! from Vienyan to Muang Phôn-Hông (the capital of the province of Vientiane) there will be four lanes of reinforced concrete roads, and from Muang Phôn-Hông to Vang Vien there will be two lanes of asphalt
