The thing about the cinemas. Here in Sweden, we don´t have any choise but sit next to a stranger, cause we can´t choose the seats. we order the tickets and get a chair number on the ticket. And here in Sweden we don´t talk to anyone in the elevator, at all. :P And on the bus, we sit one by one to fill the bus. We rather stand up than sit next to a stranger. And if we gonna sit down next to a stranger we ask if the seat is taken first. :P
I get very visibly sick in elevators. And when I was going to college I had an issue that made going upstairs difficult but, I had to go take a test in a building with a lot of stairs so I had no choice but to take the elevator and there was this guy who kept trying to have a conversation with me as I felt like I was going to throw up. I need some advice on personal space. There’s this girl I hang out with at university, we’re not particularly close friends but she’s my only friend there. She’s 31 (a 10 year age gap between us) so she’s a bit motherly and touchy-feely. Like, we’ll be in a lecture and she’ll rest her hand on my back for a while, or she’ll rub my back or sometimes she’ll pat my knee and then it’ll stay there for way too long afterwards. I've always had an issue with being touched but only some people’s touch makes me uncomfortable and just generally makes me feel horrible. Sometimes to the point of gagging. Thats why you always go to see a movie approx. a week after its out so that the seat allocation doesnt matter as the cinema isnt crowded. (In England anyway)

How do you keep people from getting too close to you? I am VERY uncomfortable when anyone except my wife gets close to me. I think I must smell incredible, because people tend to really get in there and then sometimes they like to hug and I don't. How do you keep people from getting too close to you? I am VERY uncomfortable when anyone except my wife gets close to me. I think I must smell incredible, because people tend to really get in there and then sometimes they like to hug and I don't. I'm not mean or anything, it could be a symptom from having bipolar disorder, or maybe my social awkwardness stems from my childhood. Either way, I just wish I could get some breathing room. I start sweating and I feel like I can't breathe. Does anyone else have this problem?
I don't have bipolar disorder but most of the time I feel the same and when teachers put their hands on my shoulders etc I break out in a cold sweat

Jerry Brown haha, man i honestly think its less awkward if you just address that someone is really close to you rather than trying to step away or slide over as if nothing is happening. Almost as a courtesy for potential victims in the future of whomever is too close to you at that moment.
Know that feeling! It feels like i can't breath when people come to close.. I have even busted my self in actually holding my breath, unable to let it out or breathe in new air xD Just take some steps back! and keep taking steps back if they follow...

Well, Rhett is WAY taller than 98% of people probably since he's 6'7 xD Link is not that short at all, actually quite above average, about 6'1. :)
