Great video! I’m doing the timing and valves on a 2010 equinox now. Your video taught me a few things I didn’t know! Surprised to see a 2016 having timing and everything redone already, thought this was just an issue in the 10-13’s, guess not!

Question about roller fingers… you mention on 1:25 to make sure they are on right or can cause damage. If they are loose do you simply side them back on or do you have to take the cam off again to install?
My 2010 equinox broke the top bolt for the guide on the right side, can I get a head from any equinox ranging from 2010-2016 or just 2010?
Did pistons point towards passenger side ?

Yo if my oil on my 2016 equinox is looking milky that means the antifreeze is getting in there right ? Time to replace the head gaskets or is my issue bigger?
Most of the time is just the head gasket but if you overheated really bad,you could even crack the head or block
@@JM8686 has not overheated at all but I do not wish to get to that point , I shall change the gaskets asap then, it's been about 2 months thought should I panic

My wife suford engine issues on her 12 Captiva . I think the timing chain skipped or broke. Zero compression on all cylinders. Bent valves or worse. What do you guys think? RAn low on oil..known issue with these motors..Hydraulic chain tensioner lost tension possible and chain broke or worse?? Good video. Me Likey.
Only way to tell is to remove timing cover and inspect lol

The way the exhaust manifold is colored you can tell it got severely overheated, in which case that block is going to be warped. There's no way it's not if it was overheated, curious as to what he did about it definitely leaving it like that not gonna work
