Anything other than that about Sri Lanka is okay for Africans. Most of the Sri Lankans are not racists. There's also a small community of African descendants in Sri Lanka.

Those retailers gave you a very reasonable local price. So don't bargain too hard. Even we locals buy those kind of shirts for 3000 to 4000 rupees outside colombo. You says 100$ shopping in the market but you've just spent less than 10$ for everything at the end

You can travel to the beach sides in Sri Lanka cz we have a nice coastal belt. Unawatuna, Thalpe,Trincommalee,Jungle beach, Arugambay,Hikkaduwa,Mirissa are eye catching. And if you are interested you can travel inside the country such as Ella, Nuwara Eliya. Nice mountains,Waterfalls and some incredible tea plantations can be seen.

In Sri Lanka we dont have bargaining markets for clothes. You are lucky to get a discount. Do buy an umbrella because this is the rainy season. Colombo has rain for at least 8 out of 12 months. The price of the umbrella is the same everywhere. Please dont insult Sri Lankans by trying to bargain everytime. Our culture is different. We have MRP (maximum retail price) for all items.
