- Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett are a dream pairing. They're both unique, finger-style players, and in this edition of Guitar Moves, they're showing us what that looks like.
The duo met up with Matt Sweeney Palm Springs when Sweeney was playing with Iggy at Desert Daze festival and they were rocking it too. They get into how they got going o. Guitar have a little bit of advice for all the kids out there just staring out: "Just get in there and don't be afraid," Vile says. And per Courtney, "the best things come from mistakes."

I once bumped into Matt Sweeney while getting food in the city. Honestly, our interaction didn't involve much. I think I said, "holy shit man its the guitar guy!" He just smiled at me and told me to have a good day. He seems like a cool dude.

I remember being in middle school looking for songs to buy with my itunes gift card from my birthday. Pedestrian at best was one of the songs i bought and i listened to it on my iPod every day on the bus ride home from school. Thanks Courtney, i play guitar now too.

Was actually stoked about this combo, the album and songs were good, until I realized their names are "Kurt and Courtney", then I was like, "oh, that's why they are doing this". The Lustre faded quickly after that.
