throughout the entire game of final fantasy VIII squall does not once fire a bullet from the blade, when he pulls the trigger they get fired into the blade (doesnt count as firing because the projectile does not leave the weapon), and when he fires a bullet into the blade, it vibrates the blade as he slices for a little extra damage.

considering that nearly all the final fantasy games take place in entirely different worlds/universes, FF XIII's gunblade and FF VIII's are completely different weapons that happen to share the same name, as squalls actually keeps the gun like shape and lightnings turns into a sword and a gun and does not combine the 2 into a non-modular weapon.

i saw your write up and it looks easy to make the way you described it your an amazing modder! xD lol and from one hornet you can make like 6 different gunblades!
@TheLadyCymrian According to 6sic6blank it was explained in the FFVIII Ultimania. what I explained was from an article I read years ago that I'm having trouble finding. He's probably right about how it adds a vibration to the blade, except I'm still holding to the idea that it fires high powered "blanks" as opposed to actual bullets. You could check the Final Fantasy Wikia. If I'm half as obsessed as the people who contribute to that site, then it would be kept accurate and up to date.

I retired from modding a long time ago,... also, I hate shipping things out. The whole process of finding a box the correct size, packaging it, making sure it's secure and not going to be DOA, carrying it to a Post Office, waiting in their slow line, until finally it's your turn, and they reject your package saying it's not the regulation box or sticker address, and you'll have to use their products, which costs extra... and ARGH... no... I won't go through with all that again... sorry...
Very nice. Now make one capable of firing real full metal jackets! (He should have aimed it real old-school and rested the barrel on his left forearm. Gives much greater stability.)
Pretty cool except that's not how the FFVIII gunblade works. In a "real" gunblade, the bullets fired are pretty much blanks. The barrel is incapable of firing, say a round from a rifle. The barrel isn't open at the end, rather there are slots along the top to allow the gas to escape when the trigger is pulled. This mechanism is so the wielder of the gunblade can inflict more damage with out having to get a longer running start or carry a heavier blade. Just some fanboy feedback. Still, cool vid.

very true i can understand that.. that happend to my friend as well.. and yea school and education comes first cuz without knowledge you cant get a job (A HIGH PAYING JOB) therefore not having a job causing you to be un-wealthy (not poor) and not being able to buy nerf guns xD haha

if your talking about the actual gunblade in final fantasy 8 then remember you can buy ammo for it
final fantasy 8 gunblades don't because they were the predecessors to the completed models, like in ff13. lightning does in fact shoot bullets.
