Some pretty shocking results! What do you guys think?
Is that Samsung Exynos in your country where you live?
S22 Better
@@naththoau nah it’s due to his beta ui 5 the in the current ui 4.1 s22 is better than pixel aswell as iPhone 14
Maybe the snapdragon variant has better cameras who knows?
Il Pixel 7 pro è senza dubbio migliore di S22 ultra.....
Man, What happened to Pixel's Portraits. They used to be the best.
Its really good at 1x everybody is taking a 2x potrait to compare.
Also when switching to potrait mode its already on 1.7x or something, much closer.
@@muhammedthanseeh3930 wish they put zoom in 1x portrait in update
Best at 1x and 5x. I always use that telephoto for stellar portraits
Don't worry...They will fix portrait 3x optical zoom & cinematic video soon with update. It's not major problem for them.
It was terrible since pixel 6 series.
Don't use beta software to do comparison. It's beta for a reason and you don't know if the camera optimization is the latest version because the beta could be testing a few features while the rest of the software stack are from a much earlier stable build
I wish your preference/judgment/basis is consistent all through out. I noticed that in some photos, you prefer dynamic range over detail but in some is the other way around.
Exactly, he preferred the pixel in main camera video because it's sharper, but he also preferred it in the UW video because it has better HDR, even though the Samsung was sharper. It's like he said "imma pick the pixel anyway". 😭
@Jamil Aboudaher exactly 💯.
@@jamilaboudaher Almost like the difference in sharpness was a much larger gap in favour of the pixel and the HDR was heavily towards the pixel where as the sharpness difference on UW was minimal.
@@JandersC Fair enough, but he was a little biased towards the pixel, there are some examples where the samsung took the better shot but he tries to find a small detail where the pixel does a little better, and forgets about the rest, and give it to the pixel. In the selfie comparison, the samsung was sharper and brighter in the shadows but the pixel had more accurate colours (true blacks) so he chose the pixel, and then in selfie video, the samsung was both sharper and had true blacks and even had better audio, but he chose the pixel because it's brighter in the shadows, it's confusing. He wasn't totally biased since he praised samsung many times, but in some examples his choice of the pixel made no sense.
Not only that but he was using beta software on the S22 Ultra, which is supposed to be inconsistent.
Even when he said the galaxy look better in some photos. He still gave it to the pixel.
Pixel should work more on portrait mode. Oversharpen doesnt look good on faces.
love your comparison bro
Not a fan of the thumbnail on twitter but I like the way you skim through the camera comparisons instead of dragging it out. Well done mate, I’m so close to getting rid of my iPhone 13PM for this but the processor is keeping me from jumping. I do plan to leave iOS as although iPhone processors are faster spec-wise, the software is very limiting and I plan on moving back to android. Keep up the videos!
You should wait till the s23 ultra drops it won't be long now
@@fareszaiim9155 Noted!
Did that and can't be happier. S22 Ultra. Still have the 12 Pro
There was a time when pixel phones were known for portrait photography.
Tbh seems biased towards pixel
Coming off the s21 ultra, my first impression of the pixel 7 pro mostly testing in outdoor daytime nature shots, it feels almost too sharp and high contrast vs Samsung. I think I'm missing the softer look. Pixel appears to be over processing. I wish they had a setting to adjust this.
The annoying part is the Pixel had the best portrait mode on release and it seems like they just forgot to develop any further improvements with it which is annoying. They know they got the data to do it and yet are not trying to make the effort.
I have the s22 ultra and im having this blurr issue too !! The sides are blurred and when i contacted samsung they told me to reset my settings
I don't have this issue, my photos are very sharp
Great video, but you really should have done a 15x & 20x zoom test comparison.
Can confirm the camera issue you are experiencing on the s22 ultra is not indicative of all units as its not present on my s22 Ultra. It's very sharp generally on my ultra
I have an Exynos S22U and have that softness, though not as bad as on this video.
Yeah very strange my S22 Ultra is fine.
Last Autumn I had no trouble taking autumn pic with S22 Ultra and it was sharp.
Samsung s22 ultra user here, i don't have the softness issue too.. Qualcomm s22
My ultra is sharpen
I used my friends pixel 7 pro today and the over sharpening is terrible. The colours are amazing but I couldn't get how bad it looks when you zoom in. I would rather my s22 ultra for sure. And I don't know why your pictures are so soft and the right hand side of my images are super sharp!
Amazing Head to head comparison . Great Job. This has helped me to make a decision of which phone to buy. Am really fascinated by the Pixel 7 Pro.
Iti urmaresc vlogurile de cativa ani, dar nu ma asteptam sa fii român (am vazut numele tau pe site-ul vostru, si apoi am verificat pe wikitube).

Gj ZONEofTECH ;) !
Can you compare with Snapdragon version of S22 ultra?
I am using it for past 3 months
it is not even close to softness you are getting!
Awaiting Samsung's answer with the s23 ultra. Loving this contest.
What about comparing the Pixel 7 Pro to the Sony Xperia 1. Curious how it stacks up to the Zeiss lenses and color accuracy.
Use portrait mode at 1x in pixel it's nice but still they need to work on the portraits
Man i was missing ur camera comparisons...good to c u again. 🙌
Yeah it's a good comparison between 10+ months old phone, we'll c again after January 😉
2:07 and 4:47 show how Samsung cameras are superior
The night shots on the Pixel are easily the best of any phone. Its shocking how close it is to a dedicated camera.
Been waiting for this
Great video.
Timestamps would be golden for a video like this
The only thing that turns me off from the pixel 7 is a Bluetooth software issue that I have had with both my Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 phones, it seems the phone has a very unstable ability to switch between audio devices when streaming audio or on phone calls at least on my phone. It often will route the call audio through my phone speakers instead of my Bluetooth headphones when I make calls or sometimes when I'm switching from streaming CZcams videos to making a call The phone will just route the sound through the phone speaker instead of my headphones and it drives me nuts I had to go back to my s22 ultra because of it because the Samsung phones are extremely stable in that regard they never mess up.
even at 4k resolution the image still looks soft, youtubers are now totally untrustworthy, full of bias!! unless we directly compare
Thanks for this review, Dan!
So when the sharpness is better on the S22, you like the pixel. But when the sharpness is better on the Pixel, you prefer the Pixel. Got it. Why didn't you go any further with the zoom shots?
i guess its like... who does their job better? S22 ultra does sharpening, but badly at its job; when pixel does it, its did pretty decent... Hopefully that make some sense for you...
Great content. We know your team pixel. 😂😂😂
Why everytime you say like samsung s22 on right hand side ....it is on left bro. Are you ok ????
Very nice video, thanks!
Is pixel also running a beta software?,why test something that is labelled as beta, there are known issues in camera app in oneui5 beta, useless waste of time to watch this video
Which is right hand side and left actually?
Nice but I preferred if u used Samsung ui 4 and s22 is better than even iPhone 14 pro in most cases . It’s usually sharper but in ur vid I guess due to beta ui 5 it’s not as it is better and I preferred s22 in most cases as a normal user wants better results rather than a raw photo witch u can edit later so personaly as a normal user I will prefer s22
Gr8 video man
Can you compare Apple Ecosystem with Google ecosystem (with all smart home stuff)
Can we get a comparison between Pixel 7 and Samsung Galaxy S22 or S22+?
Omg, looks like most paid video review ever
😹😹😹😹😹
I have the S22u Exynos and I don't have the blur on the sides.
Awesome video keep it up as always bro
He is appriciating pixel in most category even though samsung was taking better photos,he was saying samsung was sharper or better but he was mostly saying pixel is better overall.and the worst part is that he did not even show zoom capabilities of ultra phone.
I have been using Samsung for the last 10 years. Great camera modules but over-sharpening and over-saturation is a problem. After 2 years, phone gets so slow that you would want to change it. Never used one phone for more than 2 years but looks like there is a huge problem with Samsung batteries and I would have seen it too.
Quality issue - the main camera module just stopped working on S21 Ultra after 18 months. And despite people saying it is a software issue, it never worked after that. Even resetting the phone did not work. You pay $1300 for a phone which does not last for 18 months, says a lot about their manufacturing quality. Main camera module not working, and there goes the famous 108MP photos.
@@letmespeakthetruth1601 ok,but in my case Samsung phones worked good.
@@letmespeakthetruth1601 I think, you're lying.
@Ajay P. Really? You can think whatever you want buddy.
Great review 👌🏽
Imagine what if pixel uses snapdragon chipset and custom sony imx sensor🥹😍
Thanks for the review, firstly. II've noticed however that you get the phone sides mixed up occasionally in your videos... This time you say "Samsung on the right hand side" - it's on the left (at least from our perspective). Not having a go, just saying it's not the only time either
Thankyou 👍👍👍 so much work and attention to detail . I'm glad I'm going from the ultra to the pro 😁😁😁
This type of presentation are always the best.
Was a S22 Ultra Snapdragon being used for this testing or Exynos?
why nobody showing pixel 7 pro 3x and 4x..its always 2x and 5x, curiuos about quality
I preferred Samsung's 22 Ultra photos more but that's just the subjective nature of the comparison.
guys you have very great set of scenes. Thank you for this.
Reg who is better, I'm afraid my eyes are telling me that it's a draw. And in many cases my choice is opposite to yours. What is interesting is that photos are so good on both, that we have to pixel-hunt side-by-side in order to define "who wins", which basically is useless. In 99.99999999% people just won't do this :)
If a phone has a defect in it's camera, you fix the defect, you don't forget the issue and hope it doesn't affect the images. ALL pictures of the main camera on the S22 Ultra are not representative of it's true performance.
what about shutterspeed
Been waiting for your comparison 🙌🏿
Thanks Ben! Nice seeing you here! 😁
@@ZONEofTECH we need a pixel camera with a .5x, 1x, 3x and 6x. The portrait mode is below par now
agreed!
Samsung is the "mother" of Android phones guys!
@@mihailaurentiu5050 I mean if you like laggy UIs and poor battery, then sure
It's interesting in some cases I agree and in some instances I disagreed. It's so close in many examples. It basically at a point where the cameras are so good on these flagships it almost impossible to split them. The one situation that it's not the case where is iPhone video which is best, but I think pixel and Ultra a better cameras than apple
actually the iphone camera at 1/1.28" is a little bigger than the other two
I just don't like there still photos they seem flat to me lacking colour pop, but that's just me. There is no doubt all three of them are excellent
Thanks Dan xx ❤
6:16 bro looking like a super villain 💀
“Sponsored by pixel” 😂😂😂😂
P.S: DSO Mark just ranked Google Pixel 7 Pro #1. 🎉❤
Means nothing
I don't know if I'm more shocked with the camera results, or with your opinions about the results... and I tried to understand your side, but I couldn't... as much inconsistency as your S22u unit, which despite having already seen some units with the edges without details, I've never seen them with the right part of the main camera without details... without a doubt it's a fault of your product.
I think your comparisons are very cool but this one in particular I saw a certain preference for the Pixel 7 PRO... regrettable!
I agree. Its so obvious sponsorship put theirs fingers in this
Exonus s22 ultra? I have both phones and the results you are showing do not match mine and I do have the snapdragon. Also Samsung uses it's zoom at night only when you select nightmode in the camera menu.
So, dou you have a exynos or snapdragon?
The pictures are better on snapdragon.
I love the Pixel for pictures, but video looks so weird and overprocessed sometimes. Look at 5:42 for instance with the Royal Mail van. The colors are way off here, too warm and reds look orange. Also when you look at the clouds for instance, it looks like all contrast is lost. I just don't like how there's such a difference in style between pictures and video with the Pixel.
shaken photos VS non-shaken photos. Do you take us for fools?
You are seriously using a beta software where in the Galaxy s22. Which version of the Galaxy s22 is it anyways? Snapdragon or Exynos?
I would actually prefer more noise in the night photo and videos of the Pixel, smartphone makers have become too afraid of noise for some reason. A noisier night photography mode actually makes things so much crisper and cleaner instead of just ending up with a smoothed out jellified blurry mess. However overall, I am disappointed that the pixel 7 Pro does not offer an overall significantly better photography package compared to the S22 ultra, seeing as it is really supposed to compete with the upcoming 'S23 ultra' in order to be worthwhile
Well, in this class there is no real bad camera, but looking at the 14pro vs Pixel and the Samsung vs Pixel video back to back the iPhone seems to be the best all around package, except the missing optical 10x zoom
They are all ok for happy snaps shooting mate , people get their hopes up for comparable results to a dedicated much bigger sensor camera with a proper sized lens tailored made for a specific job ,
there is no comparison , these things are crap.
But good for convenience given they are what's in your pocket all the time.
i actually disagree, the newer iphones are quite dissappointing in terms of photography (especially hdr), only in video is where they really excel
Only in video iPhone sucks in hdr
I feel that the audio on the Pixel 7 Pro was much better due to the fact of the Galaxy having a hiss in the higher hertz range, specifically when annunciating the letters ‘s’ and ‘c’
Please redo the comparison with stable s22 ultra software.
I wish people used group photos to compare photos. At least 2 people.
I think the quality will improve after the stable update.
Honestly camera wise u couldn't go wrong with either as the difference are very negligible, u really have 2 put the 2 next to each other to even the difference.
Please do Comparison between pixel 7 Pro and z fold 4
The processing in z fold 4 is the best in samsung phone thanks to 8gen+ 1
Omg! Pixel nailed here. It's amazing 🤩. I have the Pixel 6 Pro and I'll surely upgrade it asap.
There isn't that much difference in quality though. I'll keep my 6 Pro for a long while.
2:07 and 4:47 just show how Samsung cameras are superior
@@hello-fw4zt is it worth the price difference? Nah not really.
@@hello-fw4zt the pixel is much cheaper tho.. and the software fluidity is much MUCH more smooth.. nearing Apple to say the least
OK this is weird because the pixel had a much longer list then the galaxy S 22 ultra but the iPhone 14 pro max had a longer list then the pixel but then he makes a short where he gives five reasons why the pixel is better then the iPhone and it’s all about the camera. I’m confused.
I'm actually convinced that this guy takes photos incorrectly, I myself have the s22 ultra and I'm not noticing anywhere near the levels of softness I see on these photos
Exactly
The software in S22U is the new UI 5 (Beta), then I think the S22U camera must be better improved when the stable software arrives.
Bruh for real, never have I had a soft or blurry photo with my s22U. Love its camera
The other camera test on CZcams say the 22 ultra better. And even here he complement the 22 ultra and say the pixel still better. Makes me wonder wonder if he getting Google money
99% certain he has a faulty unit. I stopped the video, pointless.
So is pixel pro on the left or right?
When pixel only have 1 lens, they known as one of the best potrait..and that's just based on the software
And now, they have more lenses, but man why the hell just happened
there are no good speakers Dolby Atmos
Sorry. I don't have the pixel 7 pro yet and I am sure they take great pictures. But I have the s22 ultra and most, if not all my pictures are very clear and sharp. And honestly I thought it takes better pictures than the pixel 6 pro I once had. I am not criticizing his work here or saying the s22 ultra is better. I am not a fan boy of any brand. But I don't have pictures coming out of my s22 ultra to be this bad. I wish this comment section allow me to post pictures to show. If you watch other comparison video of the s22 ultra with the pixel 7 pro, their videos show a different results.
Your Samsung it is with exynos or snapdragon?
@@adriandurchi snapdragon
you can now edit the blurry effect on the pixel 7 series and only the pixel has it. I've been on samsung and different brands of phone but still i always go back to pixels phone
Google Pixel 7 pro doesn't have Portrait shots at 1x ?????? Why do you always use 2x ? It's just a crop of 1x.
I have the Pixel 6 Pro and I've never used it's portrait mode, it's just, bad. tbh. I'd rather just step back and use the 4x camera to shoot portrait shots. It's way better, even in lower lit scenes.
Coming from S20+ 5G upgrade to Pixel 7 pro, tbh I got disappointed with the Pixel not sure what happened to them, but they used to get more than what can offer like this.
I had S20+ and switched to Pixel 6pro, it's complete trash, except the camera sometimes, anything else is garbage. It's overheating, battery doesn't hold very good, takes a long time to charge it and so on n on, I'm switching back to Samsung s22ultra.
Just what I needed
I have the s22 ultra with exynos 2200 and i get the same softness on almost any picture. I am on one ui 4.1
Samsung needs to make the switch to Qualcomm worldwide. Google too.
@@michaelhall9146 true

Can you install gcam pn Samsung S22 ultra and compare it again?
Use manual photo so we can see the difference
You have 5X optical zoom, just move away and focus on your subject and get a natural bokeh instead of using portrait mode. No matter which phone you use, the software always glitches around edges. Its just not there yet.
If Google would fix their portrait mode. They would take over.
That's it, I can't take it any more !!! Despite the crappy portrait shots, I'm ordering the P7P. And, will hang on to my S22 (small one), for portability/durability and portrait shots.
Google why not unleashed their cloud service for public through pixel. Pixel should be cloud phone. Any data will be on cloud.
This has got to be one of the most ridiculously, biased videos of the year 😮 WTF!
I don't have the issue on sgs 22 ultra.
