Not to mention moms do more than anyone in the world, yet they get treated and ridiculed the most it seems like, but just know you are doing great. We are lucky that you even upload for us to see, thank you!
It’s such a breath of fresh air not to see an all white, black and white or grey kitchen. I know they can look good but I see so many that look the same as everyone else’s.
Romeo is right! ENOUGH with the list and a zillion projects! I would love a Q&A with you and Romeo to get his perspective on fatherhood. I remember his sweet reaction when you two found out that you were pregnant!
He knew what he was getting into, she has been a list making, project machine from day one. And he doesn't exactly sit still either! They are a good team. 😉
Okay so to be perfectly honest, I'm not a baby person or a dog person but I just wanted to say that seeing you sit there to "practice grabbing stuff with our hands" and then Kinsley coming and sitting on your lap melted this cat lady's heart. 🧡

When I renovated my kitchen (much lower budget, IKEA cabinets) the three game changers were 1) using drawers for all the lower cabinets, 2) using soft-close hardware, and 3) lining all the drawers with cork. Made such a difference.
Could you tell us where you purchased the cork?

Yep, the last place I lived was a trailer/mobile home and the cabinets looked alright from the outside, but the insides were plywood😂 We changed out the handles, lined the plywood with faux wood stickers, and put cork on the bottoms and made them look WAY better than what they did before for super cheap.
IKEA isn’t cheap either! But yes those are great things to have. I love my soft close drawers and doors. And pull outs for the lowers would be nice! Never thought of cork but it makes perfect sense.
I gotta say that you have shown so much grace waiting for your kitchen during one of the biggest life changing events! You and Romeo seem to embrace parenthood naturally. And , yes, Cade IS so cute!❤

Absolutely! Keeping certain areas of your life such as your child are very, very important. You're a great woman and a natural mother. But we viewers don't need to know everything. Can't wait for your first Xmas I your home with Cade. Children bring an element of purity into everyone's life.
Love the grabbing things practice and Kinsley climbing on you to drop what she grabbed. She’s been doing it for years already. She had fun today. Barking at the cleaner. Barking at the hose. She’s so happy to help.

Get some pot feet for your outdoor containers. They will elevate your pots a bit and allow water to flow freely. Also, they’ll help minimize stains from watering.
Or even pot saucers with wheels so they can be moved easily or br rotated so the plantings grow evenly.
I totally agree keeping areas of your life just for you and Romeo and baby Cade. I am just so thankful you share little shots of baby Cade❤❤❤❤. It is so exciting because everyday is so special with a baby. Children are such a blessing to treasure forever and I know you and Romeo are doing just that.❤❤❤❤😊
Whatever you are doing looks good on all three of you. Cade is such a gorgeous, healthy and happy little sweety. There are lots of well meaning advisers but I think your instincts and families are serving you very well.

It would be so interesting to see the previous owners react to the updates you have made! Or if the estate agent who sold it to you could comment on how the renovations have impacted the value of the house. (Not that I think you would ever sell it😍)

You are 100% correct on the many opinions when becoming a mother. You are doing the right thing being guarded, it can be too much sometimes. Just know that you are doing a good job. When you doubt yourself, just remember that YOUR baby is healthy and loved -that’s the most important thing! All the other ‘stuff’ will fall into place. It really does all work out, I don’t know how -it just does! Enjoy that precious blessing of a little boy of y’all’s!! 🩵 🎉

You two are a great team. :) My husband also like to bring me back to reality, and sometimes I need that. My friend and I are love home projects, do everything what we can ourselves, but just had a rough few weeks. We also had a baby in the last one, and one and a half years, and like you, we also had a renovation/moving, etc. But it was too much for our minds and bodies, even if those things felt right and energizing in the moment. Sickness, mental health problems, eating disorders, everything came with it, later... You just had a baby, please, give yourself some more time to adjust, to live, to not do anything, just lay down, read something, or anything you like. I felt like I knew already everything about motherhood, but it hits different when you in it for a longer period of time, not just for a few months. You'll need those calm moments, and your time with Romeo. You seem like an amazing mom and woman, your work is such an inspiration for me! Thank you. :)

He is just thriving. It’s so sweet to see a baby so well taken care of. When you know exactly how long he slept, and checked on him many times. He had a full belly and a dry booty. Otherwise, he might have woken up sooner. He is going to be a special child. One who knows his parents love him so much. And will do anything for him. He will go far.
Hello beautiful!!☺️ you have inspired me so so much , I am renovating my daughters room and let me tell you I have done so far things that I never thought I was able to do … I remove the popcorn ceiling texture that we had and I place a new texture , stared on her room and I progressed to the whole house 😂😂😂😂, so now I am done with everything and now I am renewing her walls ( had the orange texture and now are totally smooth) and now ready to pain but I heard the notifications of your channel and is break time lol ❤ love and blessing to you and your fam 😘🥰

Liner under the plates prevent scratches on the wood shelf. Also it helps stabilize glassware.

I love her bubbly positivity, too! I've watched a few people over the years, but eventually tire of them. Or at least grow indifferent. I have two women whose channels I love right now (2 at once!) and can't wait for new videos from. One of them is MaCenna. She reminds me of all my friends. I have always loved people who are happy and naturally look for the silver lining and are always looking for something new to do or learn or explore. Both creators of the channels I'm totally crazy about are "make lemonade out if lemons" kind of people and I adore their sunny personalities.

I think it's totally OK to be guarded and honestly I think it's ultimately best to limit how much is shared. Both for you and Romeo's sake but also for Cade! I think no matter how beautiful or wonderful the things shared are, it can be overwhelming for your whole family to have so much shared publicly with so many people. You are absolutely wonderful, so what I say next is in no way a negative on you guys but just something that I think is only natural with regards to privacy, but I think kids, when they grow up and hear all the things said about them in videos before they even knew it, it can be a lot! You never know how they'll take it. I'm personally more stoked about hearing about new projects, and would be relieved if you allowed yourself more privacy! Many people are excited for you, and that's truly great and heartwarming, but ultimately I think you have the right idea, to figure things out on your own without other people looking. ❤
Romeo and my partner would be fast friends😂 He’s always reigning me in because he knows I’ll do to much then get overwhelmed and then have to concede anyway at the end and only do what I can handle. Balance is important ✨
Macenna, one of my most cherished memories is holding my dad's finger. Even when I was old enough and big enough to hold his hand properly, when I was upset or uncomfortable (like in a crowd) I found just holding his index finger to be the greatest comfort. Why? Because when I was a baby, that was the finger he'd give me to hold when he'd sing or play with me. Just wanted to give you a little extra something to love and cherish about yours and Romeo's relationship with Cade: that such a simple act of grabbing and holding onto mom and dad's finger can leave such a lasting feeling in everyone's heart. ^_^

Sunday, September 22 is officially fall… we are still deep in the throes of summer. I also love that you keep your personal and private life just that personal and private over the last year. I have purposefully not followed channels that talked about relationships, parenting, and things like that because I just don’t wanna know and it’s good that you keep things private to yourself.
Congratulations on your new baby. Please be so proud of yourself for going at your own pace and figuring out what works for YOU and YOUR family. With all the noise and opinions out there you & Romeo are SO SMART to listen only to yourselves and your baby. Pat yourselves on the back and continue this theme throughout your life and you will be a peaceful, happy family.
You have done such an amazing job McKenna. You astound me. I don’t know where you get your energy from, you seem to be able to do everything. Your backyard is quite wide. To make your life easier maybe consider buying a Hoselink retractable hose. It would make your life so much easier. Yes they are a little pricey, but they well worth the investment. I myself live on just a little more than half an acre and I have a few of them around the property. Installing them change my life.
Those mats you used for the upper drawer you can use them in the bottom of the pots and pans drawer to protect them from scratches!!! Thanks for the video love it as usual!!♥
You are so right about being guarded with baby and mom life. I think you’re a very loving first time mom, going through it for the first time. The hateful mom shaming, and body shaming on Reddit is so toxic. Those people all have a mean girl attitudes and don’t really have any reason to be so hateful and mean. I just chalk it up to these girls just having a sad, toxic life. Misery loves company. I kind of feel sorry for them. Being jealous of some else’s success is a toxic trait. Shut out the noise. I’ve been watching you since the beginning and loving every video. You’re doing a great job.

Wonderful video and things looks just beautiful. Baby is growing up so fast and getting so big already. Time is just flying so it seems. Baby's grow so much that first year and all the changes, I always hated to miss a minute of it. Cade is a good baby and is just a little doll. I hope your parents get to see a lot of him as times goes by so quickly.

Beautiful results in the kitchen...love the skylights! I posted earlier, but recommend considering adding live herb plants (rosemary, thyme, lemon grass, etc) in small pots near stove or end of your table. Great to have herbs available while cooking! 😉

Re: new parenthood, I urge you to remain guarded. Even if one of us gave you all the right answers to any questions you may have, there is a lot of overload. Take your time, both of you, see what works for you. Don't feel like you have to share it all. I mean, you have a new human, a new Dad, a new Mom, a dog who is learning her new family, and on top of it all, a new body. That's a lot. Love ❤️ to all of you!

My daughter celebrated her 40th in the garden I mentioned to hubby we need to tidy everything up a bit in 6 wees before party he laid 3 rooms wooden flooring painted 3 rooms and laid carpet in 4 rooms then set to garden … house perfect garden fabulous party went well good luck with yours😀

Kitchen is a work of art, seeing in the background as you film for other content. This work of art seems like it always belonged in this house. I have learned so much from the cottage and this home that I would love to some day be able to apply ideas to my home. Are you planning to go to Texas anytime soon? Doesn't seem too likely with a new baby. I'm putting my money on springtime at the earliest. Maybe even when Cade is a year old... I think it will need to be broken up into one week segments over time since Romeo has a business he needs to be I town for and she really wouldn't want to be apart from him that long with Cade.
Love your work MaCenna. I can’t believe that the US don’t have strike pool fencing rules. Here in Australia your pool would have to have a childproof fence around it. I would worry about my child getting outside unattended
She has a fence. Cade isn't anywhere near being able to crawl or walk yet. As for in general, her property is completely enclosed with walls and fences on top of walls and a gated driveway.
We have rules in the US, too, set by each municipality or county or state. Most require keeping outsiders from danger from the pool. I don't think many require more fencing around the pool itself between the house and the water.

Outdoor furniture covers will save you all that cleaning, plus it will protect the furniture from harsh weather.

For our wedding back in 2022, not only did I want to make our wedding invitations, I wanted to make the paper for them. 😅 I didn't, but I sometimes still think about doing so.
We had a simple, very small wedding in our backyard, and then did our reception/party around and in our pool 😊 it was lovely
