We went from our horrible public schools here in Alabama (I think were dead last in the nation - nuff said) to home school. Our oldest is now 19 and we pulled him after his 3rd grade year. Our 8 year old will be homeschooled all the way. Its SO much better, imo, bc you can really figure out how each child learns best, and make sure they are getting good information - especially on the important documents of our nation, and so on. And, you dont have to have an 8 hour school day, if they finish in 3 hours and its correct, done for the day. Or take breaks between for those that have shorter attention spans. Its whatever serves your child(ren) the best. Plus the common core math is terrible. I do not at all regret pulling our son, or homeschooling our daughter. I wish everyone was able to pull it off financially. We arent rich by any means, so we juggle to make it work and we utilize a lot of free tools like libraries and printable worksheets, but we also buy curriculum. We also dont do one "brand" in all subjects (like abeca or anythink like that). We keep it eclectic. A child may learn math better with mental math tactics or more physical ways, for example. We also stick with secular books as we are the ones that instill faith in our children, I dont want that added in to their curricula. There are great sites to check out for homeschool. If anyone needs the info. My go-to's are Timberdoodle website and also ChristianBook dot com. Dont want to put the link in here bc YT may yank my comment lol! They carry secular material too, and sometimes have the better prices. Also check Amazon for certain titles & you may find them cheaper there. Elemental Science is an amazing separate website for science too. We make sure to get them together with friends and play as often as we can, and we take trips to the museum, science museum, state parks, etc - you can turn ANYTHING into learning! Spotting different animals, trees and types of trees, you can get creative in how you teach them and in ways that is best suited for them to have fun and learn at the same time. Its individualized. Its been wonderful for our family! Sending blessings from Bama!

tbh I haven't watched the news in years, stopped watching it back in 2016 or 17. Tom needs to be protected he is one of the few to speak the facts and bet they'll get him eventually for misinformation or some other bs if the right laws are passed.

I stopped watching most corporate media 10+ years ago. I only watched Fox for Tucker and now I'll watch clips of Gutfeld because he makes me laugh. If for some reason I do end up watching it, I automatically assume they are lying to me and I need confirmation from 2 other sources not related to the original to confirm the story. Like I'm NOT going to take something based on an AP or Routers story from CNN and MSNBC and call that 2 sources.
