All my data is synced, it’s just like using the web, but in the actual app. The contacts are here (saved on the cloud, not phone), message history and everything.
the only negative thing is that the pics are not saved on the device and there is a date limit until which you can see the messages, as on web, don’t care for me tho, but for whoever this might concern.

Actually the option is available for mainly Tablets so to confuse whatsapp that my phone is a tablet 😂 go to developer options and change an option as "Small Width to 611 or something nd then everything will be fking small 🤣 and then as soon as u select language, scanning QR page will already be there waiting, without even asking your number 😂. I struggled with this on and off for 5 months because it wasn't showing in the menu until i read the comments and i removed the sim card and cleared Whatsapp's cache on the phone i wanted to link and it finally appeared in the menu (no app reinstall required), Telegram is so much better than this bollocks but my family refuse to stop using Whatsapp.

There is one thing: if you had Whatsapp on the secondary phone, you need to uninstall without saving the Whatsapp data. If you chosen to save the data, the Link Devices will not be in the three dots menu.
In the 3dots is only the "help" option... I already reinstall Whatsapp but the link device is not appearing
@@mileiton1059 you need to remove your sim card first, uninstall the whatsapp, and reinstall it. then you will have "Linked Device" option. After you have connected, then you can insert your sim card back. He mentions it in the beginning.. hope it can help

THANKS VERY MUCH.. ! 👍 IT WORKS.. ! AND I SUBSCRIBED. This is like finding the holy grail after years of trying various solutions that simply didn´t work or worked very badly. I installed whatsapp on my second phone (PIXEL 7, android) and scanned the qr code from my primary phone Iphone SE 2020. I didn´t need to use any developer tools and there was no messing about. It worked first time and after reinstalling my sim card it continues to work perfectly synchnised; also on my desktop as a third option.

you also need to adjust the date manually before 26 December 2022. after successfully linking the device, your other application might not be working properly. so you need to readjust the date automatically. you just need to update the installed whatsapp.

You don't actually need to delete and reinstall watsapp for this, I did it without deleting and there is this option to link in current device's three dots in home page, it needs to just scan a qr code...
