Your help in my stroke recovery made a huge difference. Looking back, I couldn't have done it without you. Love you, my friends!

I totally agree. I had an ischemic stroke a little over 2 years ago. While in the hospital I also learned I was diabetic.
At the time of my exit from their "care" I was encouraged to install a wheelchair ramp and get Velcro shoes. The first thing I did upon arriving home was to don my Sperry Topsiders (leather shoelaces) and start walking up and down stairs with intention of sailing (I did have a nice handrail installed).
No "walk in" bathtub. No "hospital bed".
I'm not a stroke 'survivor' but a 'stroke recovery enthusiast'.

I witnessed first hand the desperation on the participants faces when they arrived for rehab. After an intens 2 week program the difference was tremendous. Energetic looks, full of hope and desire to continue this road to recovery. A long way ahead but it is worth it! Thank you for daring to look and act outside of the box, the positive results are proof this works!

The other book mentioned changed my life: STROKE REBEL: Optimizing neuroplasticity to beat the odds. Linda and Arjan are true pioneers in their field. I've seen closely how they look and adjust what is needed based on their years and years of experience ánd solid research. Linda as great evidence of what is possible. Their combined power is changing the world of brain injuries.
Giving hope is one thing; making hope come true is what they give access to it, wholeheartedly is beyond words! Thank you so much for bringing this into the world, for stroke heroes and beyond!

A lot of truth, things make sense. Relearning is like learning something new: Hard work outside of your comfort zone. Keep up the good work!
