That being said, I think them not winning the title I'd the reason I'd pick a lot of the teams you listed also like 2009 unc the Duke teams unlv (didn't let me see everything you put). They only had three games all year theu didn't win by double digits... a neutral site game against a ranked WVU team early in the year which is a challenge in and of itself being g so early in the season, and against ucla and the game they lost. Had they won they Def would've been top 10 for me. I'd put them above over 1999 Duke, 2001 Duke, 2009 UNC, 2017 UNC, 1992 Duke, 1979 MSU

Kansas and Baylor were by far the best teams in 2020 when the tournament was canceled and it's not even a supposition its hard to deny it. If Baylor and Kansas would have been on opposite sides of the bracket, it would most likely be the greatest NCAA title game ever. Shame alot of the KU players decided to go to the NBA or Kansas vs Baylor would have been the Championship game or at least a final four game in 2021.

Exactly until they move up to a real conference they are still div 2 in my eyes no matter what talent they get....it's all smoke and mirrors. They get 24 conference wins if they play the 3rd strings, they will never not make the tourney and that is a joke. The Zags were one of the early schools like Butler when they spoke of mid majors 20+ years ago, Butler has moved up twice and many others only the Zags stay in a div 2 conference. There was a time like 7 years ago no matter how good they did in season they got no better than a 6th seed, then basketball politics happened with the west being so weak, it's all about the money.

Reasons why I figured Baylor would come out on top:
    1. Poise - Baylor embodied the toughness that was necessary through a pandemic-amended season even with two disruptions (second was compounded by severe winter weather).
    2. Three headed backcourt: While Gonzaga had talent with Suggs, Ayayi, Baylor’s trio of Butler, Teague and Mitchell was unlike any other in college basketball (all could shoot, handle, pass offensively and get after it defensively).
    3. College basketball today compared to 1976: The game has changed so much from 45 years ago and going undefeated will almost never happen in today’s world because of increased competition, attention, scouting etc. Baylor took two losses this season (at KU, Oklahoma St in Big 12 tourney semifinal) but it prepared them for their run.

To say what vital's age is while they are in celebration makes me wonder of the intent of the commentator's reasoning.

This championship game went down to the wire. Baylor 44 ZAGS 43.
It was a great close game. Gonzaga should of won this game.
But gonzaga made a one mistake at the final second of the game. That what caused there chance to win the ncca championship.
    Of 2021.
This year is a new year oh boy gonzaga got a great nasty surprise for every ncca team. Just wait you'll all well find out.

Suggs hadn't been in foul trouble all year. He gets two in 3 minutes. Before we even made a basket. We were good enough to beat Baylor but we needed some luck. They were in our heads early. That one wide open miss by Ayalli was the way it went. He would normally make 20 out of 20 from there.
