    The more New River Train footage the better! Thanks for uploading this!

    This is one of the first two railroad videos I ever saw, which I rented along with "Eighteen Wheels of Steel" from the now long-defunct Mark's Trains & Hobbies in Marion, Illinois. Mary McPherson

    Gotta Love that High Shrill Of the whistle Back then. It just doesn't sound the same today

      This was definitely the 765’s peak preservation sound. That GG1 bell and high pitched Nathan just fit the engine like a glove.

    And every year on the date of the accident, it runs again as a warning to others. Plunging into the gap, shrieking like a lost soul!

    Question:
    Given that the footage is from 1985 and 1986, why did you put 1987 in the title and thumbnail?

    • @NickelPlatedProductions
      @NickelPlatedProductions  Před rokem +6

      The reason for the year 1987 being put in the thumbnail & title was that the show had the year 1987 on the final graphic. I had assumed that was when it was released thus the usage of 1987, Instead of the correct year of 1986. Correction noted, the title & thumbnail have been updated. Sorry for the confusion

      @@NickelPlatedProductions Cheers mate. I saw the original thumbnail and thought, “That’s in Thurmond in 1986. Is most of the footage from 1987 with a little bit of ‘85 thrown into the mix?”, then I saw the copyright year of 1986 and made the comment.

      So editing a comment removes any heart given it by the video uploader.

      @@michaelbarrett5149 I do have the 1982 Hopewell show "Wheeling In The Rathole", which does feature material from 765 operating over the Southern on the Rathole Division. I have no plans on uploading it as its already on DVD & out of respect for its producer & copyright holder.
