Can never go wrong with Sir Tom Jones.....
I’m a 58 year old Black woman who has loved Tom Jones and Elvis Presley since I was about 5 years old. Engelbert Humperdink is another singer from that era that I’ve always liked. I liked his name more than anything.
My Sister is 65 and she is still in love with Tom Jones. 😹 I didn't understand what the infatuation was about but some 50plus years later I get it. 😻
I'm a 64 year old white man. Keep the love sister 😊
You have to see him perform as it adds so much. He us known for being a really great performer!
This was Tom in 1971 He was at his best in the 70s FOR SURE
You have to watch Tom sing this live. His looks, tight pants and dance moves is what'll get you. This man had more panties thrown at him than probably anyone.
Tell that to Motley Crue LOL
He was the man w the ladies lol..
I remember his TV show circa 1969/70 and the women in the audience going nuts. My mom used to watch it.
My Mom was even in love with Tom.😂🤣❤
@@jxstified7558 motley Crue fans don't wear panties!!😂
Oh, Tom Jones has swag alright, there's a reason his audience were 98% women, he has a really cool unique voice too
98% real women as well.
Gotta love this guy. He’s a legend!
Love Sure Tom... He has a great voice! ♥️🤗✌️
“Help Yourself” “ Without Love” and of course “Delilah” are more Tom Jones hits. Thank You for bringing great music and awesome reactions for all to enjoy 😊
I who have nothing ❤️ beautiful song 😁
Great song👏👏👏👏👏
@@lindabergman3127 OMG Yes. Incredible song!
@@lindabergman3127 yes Linda...thanks for reminding me!
"What's New Pussycat"
What I also like about this song, is not just how great his lady is, but how he treats her right, with respect and appreciation.
You have to listen to "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" by Tom. Really displays his amazing voice and incredible performing style. Preferably his live performance from 1967.
@Daniel...that song is a must for them to react to (live performance of course) 🎶🎵
Tom Jones' voice was so strong that when he was in the recording studio the glass partition would actually shake!
and he broke dozens of mics :)
You got to love Sir Tom Jones, the man is in his 80’s and still can sing, you can’t go wrong with Sir Tom! You also need to do It’s not Unusual
Had no clue he was a Sir. That's pretty awesome.
Always loving some Tom Jones❤ ALWAYS!!😍
Asia & BJ, His "Its Not Unusual" is next for you!!
I would love to see Asia & BJ do the Carlton to that song!
Got to see it live.👍👍👍👍🤟
Tom Jones is a Welsh singer who has one of the smoothest powerful voices around. And he was a showman too, in fact he was a big heart-throb with the ladies. He has so many hits such as "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat?", "Green, Green Grass of Home", "Delilah", "She's a Lady". He covers a lot of genres. He is still performing & is a coach on "The Voice" UK version. He also had a variety show from 69 - 71 & had some of the biggest music stars at the time.
Dagmar? .. LOL.. I love you
Sir Tom is in his 80s and still sounds great.
Almost as good as Gladys knight!
better@@darhyllacy7795
My favorite Tom Jones song is I Who Have Nothing.
Me and my mom loved this song when it came out back in 1968...we used to love watching him perform on tv..I was 5 or 6 then.
I meet sir tom Jones once , he was so nice. To me .
I was a sophomore in High School when this came out. Brings back great memories.
You can tell by the smile on Asias face, and the smirk on BJs face Asia is a Lady, and BJ knows it.
This was written by Paul Anka. Surprise!
I did not know that. Thank you
WHAT???
Paul Anka has a lot of top 10 songs he wrote from the 50s,60s and 70s
We already know
Groovy! "She's a Lady" was Tom Jones biggest hit in the US back in 1971.
His big hit ....like #15 at tge most
@@bullshitcaller1541 More like #2 on Billboard and #1 on Cashbox. Heed the advice in your nick, troll.
@@bullshitcaller1541 IT WAS NUMBER 1 in 1971
Y'all are so fun to watch. Quickly becoming my favorite couples' reactors. Great song, great performer... Sir Tom stands the test of time again and again and again.
His song "I Who Have Nothing" really shows off his voice and is a great song.
I absolutely agree.wonderful voice n lyrics
@Lazarus...agree! Beautifully done by Sir Tom 🎶🎵
I heard him jamming with Jeff beck once, singing classic blues.
I would put him on the category with any of the best rock singers.
Great song by legendary SIr Tom Jones. He's got that soul in him. Its upbeat, fun, truth.
A one of a kind powerhouse of a true entertainer...
He's a judge on a UK talent show at age 81 and still has the voice...
Great Great GREAT REACTION GUYS! Tom Jones is the 💣 BOMB! One of the Greatest male voices EVER! Still pretty good at 82yrs young where he is a judge on The Voice UK.
I knew a lady that went to see him over 100 times. He's pure talent!!
Tom Jones was married to his wife for 59 years. She was his childhood sweetheart. She passed away in 2016 at the age of 75. He is still alive and singing just the same at the sweet age of 81. He is one of the judges on The Voice Britain. There are clips of the other judges egging him on to sing, and he is still going strong. In 1 clip, a young man comes on and does a song, and Tom is the only judge that turns around. They, when he tells Tom his name is Peter Donegan, Tom asks him if he ever heard of Lonnie Donegan, and Peter says, "That's my dad". Tom, in disbelief mentions that Lonnie wrote Tom's huge hit, I'll Never Fall In Love Again. Tom asks Peter if he'd like to do it with him, and he says, "Yeah". Here's a link to the clip ... I'm positive you'll love it ( czcams.com/video/ySopatr6AoE/video.html ). It will definitely clear up any doubts about Tom's current ability to sing.
Thanks for the link. It was Fantastic.
@@txtm999 Glad you liked it. Tom always satisfies, but that was a GREAT moment 😊👍.
That was so awesome to watch, I cried through the whole thing...
@@mickie-fielden5629 Thank you so much for replying. I just thought, if anyone wanted to see a really great, heartwarming clip, this would be one. I am so glad you got to see it, and that it moved you as much as it did me.
Update: I just watched it again. I just love it.
@@StevesFunhouse I have loved Tom Jones music since I was a little girl, my 2 favorite songs of his are She's a Lady and What's New Pussycat... I used to sneak in to watch his show on TV it came on when we were supposed to be in bed..Lol
Yes it absolutely was written for Tom Jones by Paul Anka. I love this song 🎵 ❤️ I love Tom Jones and I always will. I have met him twice and had my picture taken with him and he signed a linin from Pontipridd Wales for me. I had it framed. I simply adore him ❤️ 💕. I have been listening to him since I was 7 years old and I was 12 years old the first time I saw him live. I have been to see him over 100 times. I have even gone abroad just to see Tom Jones!!!!
What a great feel good yet introspective song. Loved watching you enjoying this classic song. Your comments were on point. Tom Jones was all about swag but he appealed to the ladies and men. But especially the ladies. He has a powerful and soulful voice. Thanks for commenting
I have so many fond memories attached to Tom Jones. My mother adored him and when I was little his music played in our house constantly. It’s Not Unusual must be next for you!
Tom Jones was a huge star when he first came out with this song.Every woman swooned for him.
What a powerful voice he had
BJ's reactions were making me laugh out loud.. great reaction.
Queen Elizabeth loves Tom Jones. What woman wouldn't. Love you both.
Great one, this guy was another of the lady killers back in the sixties. I was a kid and remember a lot of my friends mom's including my mom thought this guy along with Engelbert Humperdinck were the bomb. I didn't get it then but I can see why now. ☮️✌️💕👌
I read Tom's book and it's fantastic ! When Tom was a teen in Wales he fell in love with Linda and they were married almost 50 years when she passed...
Have loved his voice for over 50 years and when I heard his new song on last album 'Im growing Old made me cry because the reality that Tom is in his later part of life hits you and you feel the reality of his mortality. Beautiful song. As all his music is. the emotion of his older age is so present in this song. Give it a listen and Id love to know what you both think
You should also look at some of Sir Tom Jones on The Voice UK along with his live concerts which he started again last year age 81 and sounds no different, and also Dame Shirley Bassey who sang live a couple of weeks ago ať The Royal Albert Hall London for the BAFTA Awards age 85 both have had long careers and between them sold around 350million records Sir Tom released on in his 80th birthday year which went to number one in the charts and made him the oldest person to hit this milestone
You just don't hear many songs that are positive and kind about women or men & this is one. Real love is grand. She helped him build a mounain... Great reaction. I saw the way you looked at your sweet lady while watching yall!!!!
Written by Paul Anka. Great stuff!
@Asia and BJ ...TJ has a LOT of rocking performances. Many folks relate to both the music and the lyrics of "She's A Lady"... it's a great song Paul Anka wrote, and Tom Jones really rocks it. Not only does the man have that incredible voice, he has those drop-dead sexy, masculine looks and such smooth moves. Lol... I want to run my fingers through his curly hair.
My favorite of Tom's early hits, though, is "Help Yourself." The song is so upbeat, and Tom really puts it over. Its lyrics are one big invitation... and that's one invitation to which I would gladly respond! (see those lyrics below)
HELP YOURSELF
Love is like candy on a shelf
You want to taste and help yourself
The sweetest things are there for you
Help yourself, take a few
That's what I want you to do.
We're always told repeatedly
The very best in life is free
And if you want to prove it's true
Baby, I'm telling you....
Just help yourself to my lips, to my arms,
Just say the word, and they are yours
Just help yourself to the love in my heart
Your smile has opened up the door
The greatest wealth that exists in the world
Could never buy what I can give
Just help yourself to my lips, to my arms,
And then let's really start to live
Allllllllll right. Yeah....
My heart has love enough for two
More than enough for me and you
I'm rich with love, a millionaire
I've so much, it's unfair
Why don't you take a share
Just help yourself to my lips, to my arms
Just say the word, and they are yours
Just help yourself to the love in my heart
Your smile has opened up the door
The greatest wealth that exists in the world
Could never buy what I can give
So help yourself to my lips, to my arms
And then let's really start to live
Just help yourself to my lips, to my arms
Just say the word, and they are yours
Just help yourself to the love in my heart
Your smile has opened up the door.... [fade]
This song is Tom Jones' biggest hit song ever in America!!! The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the early winter of 1971. Canadian singer-songwriter Paul Anka wrote this monster hit for him. This song is a banger indeed!!!
This lady Asia is so lovely, funny and seem so happy in her live I love seeing you you make my day!
Tom Jones was the man. Amazing voice.
Now 80 years young, the Welshman Tom Jones was a Las Vegas fixture for decades. Just 20 miles down the road from the coal town where he was born and raised, in the dockyard slums of the Welsh capital, Cardiff, another world famous singer had been born five years earlier. She went on also to star in Las Vegas for over 40 years. She is the highest selling British female singer of all time - Shirley Bassey. Try her song Goldfinger, one of the three James Bond theme sings she sang for the Bond francise.
Once of the best voices, even more amazing live! Tom Jones’ album Reload has some fantastic duets like ‘Mama Told Me Not to Come’ and ‘All Mine’. Somebody else mentioned ‘Kiss’ his cover of a Prince song. Definitely dig a little deeper into his catalog of songs, you be so glad you did!
You two would have been right at home in the 60s and 70s, hehehe...
Hell Yeah
one of my favorites is his version of the song ''keep on running'' (spencer davis group)
Check out Tom Jones Burning Down the House. Strong voice. I forget who sang it with him.
Sir Tom Jones is now in his 80's and hasn't lost a thing. You need to watch this live performance of his.......Tom Jones Delilah Incredible Live Performance Diamond Jubilee Concert
If you watch some of his videos from back in the day, he learned his move from Elvis. Tom Jones is a judge on The Voice UK and he sounds the same!!
Tom could move just fine on his own, with no help from Elvis.
@@sometimeslyrical The only reason why I made that comment was because my mom & I watched a documentary a while back with Tom Jones saying that.
Loved Tom Jones, Janis Joplin, Elvis, Charlie Pride, and many others and yes I am that old.
Another excellent reaction!!! So glad you reacted to this song. Such a classic.
Classic!Something about hearing him sing makes me smile.
Shes a lady was released in 1971 . I was 10 Wooow im now all most 62
BJ's reaction at 2:27 is the same reaction many of us have. Pushing 40 with "My Lady" now.
Classic 👌🏴 Another hit song i'll never fall in love again 👌
He and Eivis were pals. He has a couple of crazy sounding stories about Elvis. He also did a tribute song to him after he died.
Asia is grooving to this so much. I love it. This song plays through my head before dates.
He danced awesome when he sang this song live.
@Asia and BJ ...I know I was unashamedly fan-girling on Tom in my other comment. But I do want to say I'm a big fan of your channel. I really enjoy your reactions and being part of your music-loving fam. Always ready to hear more Tom and more SRV, especially... but love the exposure to the variety of artists here, and appreciate your insights being thoughtful and real. It's such a plus to have reactors who don't pepper their reactions with cussing, and always deliver a lot of positivity and humor. You do make me smile.
Green Green Grass of Home is a sad song, but a good one.
Great one....You will enjoy Tom & Wilson Pickett "Hey Jude".....will blow u away
Crazy memories, I watched the Tom Jones show every Sunday with my great grandma, she loved him… she said he was PERFECT
I love that you guys are getting connected to some other music. Makes me happy!
Tom Jones version of You Can Leave Your Hat On. Great performance
Love this song!!!
Nice one! You two are also great role models for the younger generation, who are understandably confused about how to keep a relationship alive and well. Hope everyone in the back row could hear! ( LOL)
I recommend Your Kiss. That is a Prince original that was covered by Tom Jones. In fact, You could do a com[arison.
Recommend: 'She's a Woman' The Beatles.
BTW Tom Jones had his own variety show for a while back in the day.....
You must see the new clip from the voice, "I won't crumble if you fall." It's amazing.
Tom Jones & Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Long Time Gone
Tom Jones was definitely in his own lane!!! And I believe Paul Anka wrote this song too! 2 icons for sure!
BJ, That was sweet when you referred to Miss Asia as the lyrics “and the lady is mine” was being played. Have ya’ll heard Bobby Goldsboro “Honey” ?
Aaaah Sir Tom Jones was the man.....
just love this song, and absolutely love love love love love your reactions especially you BJ and how you reacted this song and dedicated to your wife there through your moves, the way you looked at her during the song etc....
One of my favorites ! Thank y'all ,great !!
Glad you enjoyed it
You guys look like teenagers, boppin' back in the day!!! Good on ya'...
A great Singer 🤠🇺🇸🇬🇧👍 Had a Great TV show! The Real Deal ✌️🐎
my uncle turned me on to 60 and 70s hits with dance parties at his house. He is gone but I still love him.
my dad was a top shelf man too, he couldn't sing like me or my brother though but he carried us on a snow sled
Really love your reactions. Asia, (if you haven't already) you have to watch this back at the 2:26 mark to see B.J.'s reaction to "and the lady is mine". : -)
Tony Christie - Avenues and Alleyways 1972... As a child I thought it was Tom Jones. Similarly powerful voice and cool delivery in a Swingin' Sixties song.
This song always makes me laugh. My pop liked this song until my mother, who never went anywhere, went with her sister to see Tom Jones. Then, he was jealous of him. Now this was 60 years ago and they are both long gone, but when Tom Jones gets there too, I hope he sings for her again
Great reaction 😀
My wife and I have had a running joke going for 22 years about this song. Whenever she or our daughters or any woman in public does anything that's not lady-like, like, burp really loud or fart or something uncouth, we'll just start singing, She's a lady, whoa, whoa, whoa she's a lady. In your best Tom Jones. One of us will do it.
"She's A Lady" was used in the romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock called "Miss Congeniality"
Awesome song, yall would have had even more fun watching the live version!
Man with the golden voice. I also like, You can leave your hat on.
Hi Guys, hope your having a great Holiday season & have a Happy New Year, very ironic Asia is wearing a Prince shirt, Tom Jones did a cover of Prince's ''Kiss'' song back in the day.
I love this song and tom jones
Ya'll loved that!! Loved watching Ya'll..LOVE YA'LL!!!
This song Rocks a lot more than anything else Tom Jones ever did. (Except maybe his cover of Prince's Kiss.)
Unfortunately, when Elvis Presley did his comeback to music, he thought he was competing against Ton Jones instead of the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and the other rock artists of the day.
If you love Tom Jones, I HIGHLY recommend "Help Yourself" and "The Green, Green Grass Of Home". My very favorites of his.
Elvis always my favorite and I love Tom's singing. I'll never fall in love again and Green Green Grass of home are 2 more you should check out
Love this one! They play it in the movie Miss Congeniality!
You guys should have been born 20 years sooner, just so you could have experienced so much of the 70's and 80's. Since you're discussing SIR Tom Jones, you should try reacting to some of his stuff from the Voice UK, where he in some cases sings from off stage with some of the contestants. One fun vid from that is the full Ash Morgan audition or the one with the son of Lonnie Donnegan
Oh dang! You need to watch the live video, he's dancing his butt off!!
