Not even mentioning the nasty buffer/input delay, inconsistent frame rates, etc. Characters wielding weapons suck ass when they literally whiff on hit because of broken hitboxes (Jason's machete will just go right through people even when it's supposed to hit Same with Arya etc) The base game is fun I'll give it that but it's just barred by too many problems right now.

So people didn’t complain the game was too slow in the beta. Honestly it was way too fast there was no skill it was just spam button and win, now it being slower means you have to think more. And it’s a free to play game they have to feed their families, and I’ve already gotten three characters and one of them was Joker. It’s not that hard to get characters.

Just a tune copy pasted into an opera concert. Which serves worse than if you actually ported the song over and removed the lyrics. Same with the menu music. It's boring. The ui sounds weird and blegh. And the interact/player spawn sounds just do not mesh with this type of game

I guess it’s a generational thing, but some of the most fun I had playing Melee was unlocking the characters. It was two birds one stone because the unlock missions both gave you practice and somethin to do when friends weren’t there to play with
There's a difference between having to do some certain challenges in the game to unlock a character and having to grind an in game currency to unlock a character
It's not a generational thing. I share this sentiment. I love unlocking characters and kits. However. If the way you unlock them is by using a currency that takes days to achieve. Or spending real world money. The grind is not fun. You can literally click 3 buttons drain your salary and boom. It's different here because nothing feels special. There's no grind there's no progression. You get a character you grinded days for. You play it. It's lackluster. You repeat or optionally just stop playing.

Here's how monetization for downloadable content should be done for video games: When a new piece of DLC is put out for a video game, it should require payment for the first 5 months of it's availability. After that, it should permanently become available for free. This would be a win for both the companies and the consumers, as there would be plenty of consumers who would be willing to fork out cash for instant gratification, while the rest of the consumers would eventually be able to attain the DLC in question at no extra cost.
Suits do not see "it'll eventually go free" as good enough. Some people feel that when you buy a game or product. And that product going free. Means that consumer wasted money. Unless compensation is applied. (For example buying a dlc and getting exclusive access to said dlc.
It took me two weeks to unlock every character in brawlhalla, I have the same opposite issue with multiversus. It doesn’t make it better that one character is worth 10 dollars either

The game in the beta was way to fast everyone was complaining about it but they took the complaints and made the game way too slow now so it’s not as big of a deal as y’all think. Y’all act like it didn’t just come out and they still have time to release a early version update to fix and change stuff

I think making it so you get some kind of currency/battlepass XP after each PVP game would be great. But the whole "38 hours for one character" thing that I've seen a lot of is super misleading and turns people away when it isn't as bad as people make it out to be
a good way to fox this issue is to lower the character prices and make them easier to unlock h for example cut the cost of the characters in 1/2 so 1500 character currency 500 gleamium also they should make the game less Grundy but add more features to keep the game spicy

Another problem with having to grind for characters is most likely once you unlock the character you wanted to unlock you probably will still use the character you have been using because you got use to how that character controlled
Something that REALLY pissed me off was the Joker's cost was double the other char's, and many would say it's just 'cause it's new, but it's obvius they did it -cause it's a fan favourite. And the worst thing is that in a quest (if you get that specific quest) you HAVE to use Joker. It's a literal fucking paywall.
I feel like the problems lie deeper. The issues with the gameplay are that it's less skill based and more "press this button to win". And the 6 currencies are not fun to grind for. The character levels serve little besides getting almost meaningless perk upgrade stuff and occasionally a little bit of character unlock tokens. The pve does almost the same thing where the more you play in that mode. The more of the same things you get in that mode. Gems. Upgrades to gems. Occasionally a few character tokens. Some more gems. That's it. There's an extreme lack of content and an extreme amount of microtransactions. The game feels more boring than the beta. And with the addition of the pve modes concept. That was nice. But the pve mode itself. Is not great. There's no ranked. And when it eventually comes. It's going to be more of the same. Grind for meaningless stuff. Repeat. The ui is ugly, it should have stayed like the beta. The movement in the beta was TOO FAST not too slow. People complained that everyone was dodging all of their attacks and matches consisted more of running away than fighting. So they addressed that to make characters bigger and slower. Which I personally didn't like. I was fine with the beta. People complained about it and got what they wanted. Then complained again. They removed iron Giant twice after release to tweak his kit. Both times he came back exactly the same as he always had been. It feels like the developers are almost scatterbrained and don't really want to work on the game. They'd rather fantasize about what the game could be. There is no story. There are like 5 maps. All of which get old almost instantly. The characters progression system is horrible. The events are almost meaningless and serve little except for boring character items. The battle pass is okay and actually quite generous, I feel like if they took the (yuck) call of duty approach and introduced more gameplay mechanics and focused a bit more on making the game more presentable. (Some of the ui looks feels and sounds absolutely atrocious in MV) the game would feel better to play. The gameplay is solid. It's not the best like it was in the beta. But people complained. And they changed it. They atleast tried to listen. However. The "year" they worked on the game from the beta to now almost feels like they took a year long vacation. Changed the ui added 3 characters and released it like that.
my biggest complaint is how unbalanced it is, i play as tom and jerry because they are my favorite characters but as soon as i go against a big dc character or something similar that attacks just as fast as i do, they do more damage because of their size
If the characters did not require grinding or money to get how do the devs make money off of the game, skins? No no no, about 3% of the games community most likely buy the skins(Most are just boring). So the only other option would completely lock the game behind a pay wall just to play. The lesson to be learned is to be grateful for the good things you already have. Now the characters could totally need a price reduction(WHY is joker 6k). Another option is all of the “training” quest could need a rework as it is the only viable way to get character tokens. Another thing about these quests is that it requires you to either play with a friend or do rifts(rifts are just dog shit). This game is based on 2v2 but someone like me who does not like 2v2 and finds it chaotic should not have to play it to just progress in the game. I also raise a petition to revert the changes made to the perk system.
Tbf a lot of free character based games do this like brawlhalla, and this game let me unlock characters in a week as opposed to weeks of grinding for barely enough levels to buy an old character from apex

I don’t know anyone who want a game to so fast pace plenty of people are having fun with it gotta enjoy the unique animation attacks and actually come with game plan or strategy and the grind is super easy to get other characters feels pretty easy to do
they literally give u new characters every 4 days that u can play like you start off with the basic characters then u get 3-4 new timed characters that last for 4 days
I feel there’s a balance like technically for the first five minutes having every character would be awesome but it kills any real passion to play the game. Like look as NASB you have every character which puts into question “why do you have to strive for in that game?” You can’t unlock new characters and the other things are too minor so immediately the singleplayer content becomes worthless Multiversus should’ve done something like for every 5 levels on your account you earn a new fighter at random. It would not only encourage people to play more since every 5 levels on your account you get something new but also means saving Fighter Currency for the new released characters.
I hate that the Iron Giant was removed from the game and my Xbox keeps glitching every time I play this game saying I need to connect my controller, even though it’s already connected

Got 70 hours in this game. Play daily and do all events and challengers. I only got enough in game currency to buy like 4 or 5 character. Like 3 for 3K, Joker for 6K or something, Agent Smith for 6K went is out of early access. 70 hours...5 characters unlock with in game currency... WHAT THE FUCK

Suits do not see "it'll eventually go free" as good enough. Some people feel that when you buy a game or product. And that product going free. Means that consumer wasted money. Unless compensation is applied. (For example buying a dlc and getting exclusive access to said dlc.
This is actually happening to most games like overwatch now back then they used to be free but now u gotta do a million quests to unlock characters
It took me two weeks to unlock every character in brawlhalla, I have the same opposite issue with multiversus. It doesn’t make it better that one character is worth 10 dollars either

u can easily get 4 characters within a month without grind and it gives time to practice with these characters
Multiversus looks so slow, but this is one of the least problem, the way the game makes you feel poor for being free to play, is unbelievable.
The game is free though. You don’t have to pay money so of course you don’t get all the characters.
The game encourages you to buy characters and i think it is a good system. They need to keep the lights on somehow 🤷♂️
The game in the beta was way to fast everyone was complaining about it but they took the complaints and made the game way too slow now so it’s not as big of a deal as y’all think. Y’all act like it didn’t just come out and they still have time to release a early version update to fix and change stuff
But I mean, it has technically been out, they have had a beta and like a year of down time to fine tune the game and the product we got was sub par. This isn’t a brand new game, it’s been in the oven for a bit

@@carloschamorro2050 the events page is gonna constantly be filled with stuff like currency, and character mastery gives you it as well. Could it be better? Yeah, for sure. I think making it so you get some kind of currency/battlepass XP after each PVP game would be great. But the whole "38 hours for one character" thing that I've seen a lot of is super misleading and turns people away when it isn't as bad as people make it out to be
a good way to fox this issue is to lower the character prices and make them easier to unlock h for example cut the cost of the characters in 1/2 so 1500 character currency 500 gleamium also they should make the game less Grundy but add more features to keep the game spicy
You would be able to get like 5 characters within 3 days if they lowered it that much, so definitely not.

Another problem with having to grind for characters is most likely once you unlock the character you wanted to unlock you probably will still use the character you have been using because you got use to how that character controlled
Something that REALLY pissed me off was the Joker's cost was double the other char's, and many would say it's just 'cause it's new, but it's obvius they did it -cause it's a fan favourite. And the worst thing is that in a quest (if you get that specific quest) you HAVE to use Joker.

They should do what rainbow six siege does and give you character currency for winning
I feel like the problems lie deeper. The issues with the gameplay are that it's less skill based and more "press this button to win". And the 6 currencies are not fun to grind for. The character levels serve little besides getting almost meaningless perk upgrade stuff and occasionally a little bit of character unlock tokens. The pve does almost the same thing where the more you play in that mode. The more of the same things you get in that mode. Gems. Upgrades to gems. Occasionally a few character tokens. Some more gems. That's it. There's an extreme lack of content and an extreme amount of microtransactions. The game feels more boring than the beta. And with the addition of the pve modes concept. That was nice. But the pve mode itself. Is not great. There's no ranked. And when it eventually comes. It's going to be more of the same. Grind for meaningless stuff. Repeat. The ui is ugly, it should have stayed like the beta. The movement in the beta was TOO FAST not too slow. People complained that everyone was dodging all of their attacks and matches consisted more of running away than fighting. So they addressed that to make characters bigger and slower. Which I personally didn't like. I was fine with the beta. People complained about it and got what they wanted. Then complained again. They removed iron Giant twice after release to tweak his kit. Both times he came back exactly the same as he always had been. It feels like the developers are almost scatterbrained and don't really want to work on the game. They'd rather fantasize about what the game could be. There is no story. There are like 5 maps. All of which get old almost instantly. The characters progression system is horrible. The events are almost meaningless and serve little except for boring character items. The battle pass is okay and actually quite generous, I feel like if they took the (yuck) call of duty approach and introduced more gameplay mechanics and focused a bit more on making the game more presentable. (Some of the ui looks feels and sounds absolutely atrocious in MV) the game would feel better to play. The gameplay is solid. It's not the best like it was in the beta. But people complained. And they changed it. They atleast tried to listen. However. The "year" they worked on the game from the beta to now almost feels like they took a year long vacation. Changed the ui added 3 characters and released it like that.
my biggest complaint is how unbalanced it is, i play as tom and jerry because they are my favorite characters but as soon as i go against a big dc character or something similar that attacks just as fast as i do, they do more damage because of their size
If the characters did not require grinding or money to get how do the devs make money off of the game, skins? No no no, about 3% of the games community most likely buy the skins(Most are just boring). So the only other option would completely lock the game behind a pay wall just to play. The lesson to be learned is to be grateful for the good things you already have. Now the characters could totally need a price reduction(WHY is joker 6k). Another option is all of the “training” quest could need a rework as it is the only viable way to get character tokens. Another thing about these quests is that it requires you to either play with a friend or do rifts(rifts are just dog shit). This game is based on 2v2 but someone like me who does not like 2v2 and finds it chaotic should not have to play it to just progress in the game. I also raise a petition to revert the changes made to the perk system.

Never thought the difficulty of unlocking characters would be so bothersome for y’all. What I’m struggling with the game is that it’s slow and often it crashes out of the battle and out of the game . But really glad there are people who is receiving the same torture as mine

they literally give u new characters every 4 days that u can play like you start off with the basic characters then u get 3-4 new timed characters that last for 4 days

I feel there’s a balance like technically for the first five minutes having every character would be awesome but it kills any real passion to play the game. Like look as NASB you have every character which puts into question “why do you have to strive for in that game?” You can’t unlock new characters and the other things are too minor so immediately the singleplayer content becomes worthless
Multiversus should’ve done something like for every 5 levels on your account you earn a new fighter at random. It would not only encourage people to play more since every 5 levels on your account you get something new but also means saving Fighter Currency for the new released characters.

Got 70 hours in this game. Play daily and do all events and challengers. I only got enough in game currency to buy like 4 or 5 character. Like 3 for 3K, Joker for 6K or something, Agent Smith for 6K went is out of early access. 70 hours...5 characters unlock with in game currency... WHAT THE FUCK

The funny thing is LeBron was free on week 1 on the rotation. People forget you get 6 characters at all times with 4 on a rotation. And it's not as hard to unlock a character as it seems. It's not instant but I'd argue apex takes longer.

What is up with new fighting games making the combat slower? Especially platform fighters. If I had a nickel for every time that happened, I would have 2 to 4 nickels, which isn't a lot. But it's weird that it happened that many times.
