Miley Cyrus has the most versatile voice out of any musician I follow. I absolutely stan her the hardest compared to any other artist. She is gorgeous and an absolute inspiration and icon. She single handedly brought back rock music. So many old raggity ass men look at her and are like “ohh eww her tongue” but they’d be blessed if she spit on them. Also, thanks for the attention you geriatrics (#1 rock album for weeks on end 🤪). But for real, Miley is my queen. The fact that she told Joe Rogan that two of her biggest inspirations are Dolly and RuPaul says everything. Dolly is the reason we have a COVID vaccine and RuPaul is the reason that the LGBTQIA+ population has hope. Miley IS along the same line of these icons for me. She started the Happy Hippie Foundation for homeless LGBTQIA+ youth and she came out as gender fluid, which was one of the main things that made it comfortable for me to acknowledge my own gender. I also want to go out on the limb to acknowledge the fact that she had to reconstruct her identity following Di*ney Channel Days, and she fucking killed that. The head trauma Billy Ray put her through as a kid has nothing on her.

As always, Miley amplifies whatever emotional stuff is there in the song, and she does it here...yet again. She is one of the greatest interpreters of songs -- she knows and feels music like few other artists out there today.

It's a good cover Miley. It's a very intimate song with a small arrangement. It just doesn't translate well to arena's. That said keep doing it. Be brave but be selfish sometimes with what you give the fans.
