1) check out the lead imagineer for Splash Mountain, Tony Baxter's commentary on whether or not this ride was problematic. It was not. It was in fact approved by the NAACP and Michael Jackson who was filming Captain EO at the time. 2) Song of the South is based off the beloved Tales of Uncle Remus, which the African American community hold dear. Song of the South was set in the prohibition era, post slavery. James Baskett, said playing this role was the highlight of his career. Walt Disney was a pioneer in casting black actors and women at a time when very few others did. Mr. Baskett's history is being erased as is a lot of American history through cultural Marxism. Splash Mountain was an iconic ride with Oscar award winning music. Lastly, please do look at the history of the AVERY ISLAND SALT MINES (where Tianas' Bayou begins and is based on) Slaves worked and died horrible deaths in these mines, this is the new queue of TBA.
This is the most detailed and colorful ride through I've seen! Awesome job! Love how the colors pop! The snacks you guys got looked good!! 🤩🙌 Definitely looking forward to when it opens here in Disneyland! Splash will always be a classic but I'm sure it will still be a fun ride through!
thank you so much! it makes me happy knowing this was able to show that it is a good & fun ride! im definitely excited to see how disneylands will be! thanks for watching! 🙌🏼🙏🏼
Definitely overhated. People act like the ride ran over their dog, stole their homework, cheated on their mom, and destroyed their credit. Like…we get it. You don’t like the ride. Ok…
Gotta love how they took folktales written by black slaves (the original stories from Song of the South) and replaced them with Princess and the Frog which was written by two white males 🤷♂️
I have to say this is probably one of the most fair positive Tiana's Bayou Adventure videos I have seen. I do lay a majority of the blame for the negativity towards this ride on Disney themselves. First Splash Mountain was a very popular attraction and any time there had been rumors of it being changed in the past was met with backlash. So changing it in general was always going to create negativity. Second it really does seem boring and a downgrade. Third attacking fans of Splash Mountain and calling them racist was obviously only going to piss them off more. Fourth the reason Disney gave for replacing Splash Mountain was because it was problematic while Tiana's Bayu Adventure is literally based off of a salt mine with slave labor. Disney even celebrates the slavery with signs in the que. If that fact really makes it way into the mainstream than I could see the negativity and backlash going into overdrive. On a sillier note how did Disney not at least take the opportunity to have a character jamming to the music with a slice of king cake on a plate in hand at the ending celebration scene.
i appreciate that as i really wanted to go into the ride with an open mind and not just jump on the negative train. ah yeah, unfortunately i feel like the whole situation was just a lose lose for them on this. i just looked at this as a new addition to the park. it’s a great ride being splash or tianas in my opinion. i appreciate you watching 🙏🏼
There's no nuance on the internet. If people think that this is a downgrade from Splash Mountain, they will say that the ride is bad. For what it's worth, even though I preferred Splash Mountain, I still think Tiana's is a great ride.
it’s interesting too because a lot of the complaints seem to be coming from the malfunctioning of the ride and it’s not even officially open yet. i think I enjoyed it too because you really don’t need to watch to movie to understand the ride and not everyone attending is a die hard park fan. but i enjoy it and its just sad to see all the bash.
Tiana's Budget Adventure lacks story and has too many screens where they are not needed The ones saying this is good and defending it as desperate vloggers looking for disney perks
i can appreciate your opinion, nothing is perfect. my opinion is just based on the fact that i had joy on the ride. im not the type of vlogger to deeply dissect attractions. yes i do like to look at the positives in everything, and thats not for everyone and thats ok. thanks for watching. 🙏🏼
In the slow parts, it would have been nice to work in the shadow creatures and a quick sighting of Dr. Facilier before Mama Odie saves the day and embiggens you up again. They could have then saved Dig a Little Deeper as the final song instead of the one they made up, because that song is not as good as the rest of them.
that is one thing i was really sad about is that the ride does not have any inclusion on facilier. but im happy i went into the ride knowing it took place several years after the film and was a complete new storyline. had i not kept up with the updates. i would have been very sad with this ride.
My favorite scene of the ride would be the finally scene. I also love the glow in the dark color scene when you shrink to the size of a frog.

Disney thought Splash Mountain got so much hate and now this ride is REALLY GETTING alot of hate.
it’s really unfortunate. personally i enjoyed both. but feels like a lot of people are jumping on the negative train more so for clicks, headlines ect
The constant and ever shifting songs seem very irritating
i felt it worked well as is was transitions in scenes and story but i hear ya.
What editing software do you use?
