      thanks for watching Erock! This was a painful video to make lol. It was the only clear day where I was off from work so I had to get the recording in even though it was brutal out there...
      You're absolutely correct. The more time I spend with this scooter, the eskateboard, and the s73 the more I'm confirming that my ideal speeds are 32-40mph. Anything higher is too much for the type of riding I do and going for higher would just be for bragging rights at the group rides/meets and on social media.

      Thanks for joining us for the speed tests Weldon, always appreciate ya brotha. Apologies for the really delayed response. I've been settling into my new longer work schedule and the higher work load so I haven't really had the opportunity to jump on my CZcams let alone record (thats why today's video is late). I've literally just been going to work and crashing when I get home only to get back up a few hours later to go back to work.
      Yeaaa, cold weather riding sucks. Only two things that are worse is riding in a downpour and riding through slush/ salt lol. I'm excited to do these tests again when the warmer weather is here so we can see if there really is a difference. The only possible thing that can possibly affect the scooter at that time is the amount of miles on the battery.

      Thanks for joining us for this cold ride Nic! I've been told that the Algorithm is mad at me for taking a week off for the Holidays so it pushed me lower in the sub boxes and home page lol. It took me a few months to recover from the last time a I took a week off but I really wanted to spend time with the family.
      Interestingly enough, it's been a pretty mild winter for us. When we start seeing the teens/ single digits it's going to be a classic NYC winter lol. Most of the PEV community is in hibernation until the spring and only a few of us crazy people/ delivery people are outside! I hope the employment situation changes for you soon, unless of course you're using it as time off and working on your personal projects. If that's the case, wishing you massive success on the personal projects!

      @eyebahnrides  Před 5 měsíci

      thanks for watching this video! You're pretty spot on with that observation. I only saw a 2mph difference on the scooter's display compared to the warm weather I was riding in when I first got the scooter. It was the same with the Burn E when I had it. My old Mantis used to lose 6 mph in the cold and the S73 looses about 10% on the top end/ acceleration. I'm hoping that a new controller can help the S73 with that

      Glad you enjoyed it! I have a sensitive throttle and my only advice is let the scooter gain some speed before mashing the throttle. If you mash it right away it will just burn out and you run the risk of sliding out. You could also turn down the initial acceleration power in the psettings for the C and X modes to help

      Hi there. Not sure if you’re familiar with adjusting the scooters settings in its menu, but in your manual it explains how to do so. I’d recommend watching a video on it though. Your p1.1 and p1.2 settings will allow you to adjust acceleration output per motor on a scale of 1-5. P1.1 is rear motor and p1.2 is front motor. It will not affect top speed, but allows you to pick an acceleration level that you are comfortable with. I keep my front motor on 1 to reduce tire spin on hard take offs. Just play around with it and you’ll find your sweet spot. Hope that helps

      @eyebahnrides  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thanks for watching this video as well! I have the stock CST tires that come with the scooter. Honestly, I've really enjoyed them and may keep them on instead of having the PMT installed. I had 2 sets of PMT's for 4000miles on my old Burn E. They helped with ride quality/ comfort, and they helped with the turning feel of the scooter since they were rounder than the stock tires on the Burn E. I'm not sure if they actually helped with the acceleration or speed. The CST tires on the Klima have quite a soft composition and are quite round so I don't feel the need to change them. Also the cost of $95 per tire + installation is holding me back. At $300, thats 10% the price of the scooter after taxes lol!

    What electric brake setting do you use? I have a Nami Burn-E 2. The electric brake seems very overwhelming. I have been riding with it turned all the way down. This is pretty hard on the regular brakes. When I have the e-brake on it feels like I'm going to get thrown over the bars when trying to slow down from high speed.

      Thanks for joining us for the speed tests! My electric/ motor brake is different per mode.
      S- 3
      C- 4
      X- 5
      I like the ebrake higher because it allows me to go through less brake pads. Once you get used to it, its really useful. Anytime I'm braking, I've developed the habit of sitting back to counter the scooter even though it may be unnecessary. That's probably why I never feel that the scooter is going to throw me over the bars. I'm a little over 500 miles and I'm finally going to get my brake pads changed thanks to the ebrakes. With my old Burn E, I was able to get 700miles with a set of brake pads!

The headlight on the stem is a Gemini Titan 4000 OLED headlights. I have them mounted on the Carbon Revo Kiddiebar (made for Dualtrons but fits the Namis). Since the stock headlight is quite wide, I needed a second headlight that was stronger and reaches further. Did you have to change anything to move the signal buttons to your left? Because I want to get so bad but concerned about the stability and that being on the right side. It would be helpful if you could lemme know if there’s any way to install a steering damper or no.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 4 měsíci

      thanks for joining us for the speed runs and welcome to the channel! Nope, I didn't have to change anything to move my signals and control buttons to the left. Before moving the handle bars into position I just moved the buttons into the position I like. I've actually had this set up for almost 3 years (almost 3 years with the Burn E and a few months with the Nami Klima in the video). With this scooter, there is no concern with stability. I can't imagine needing a steering damper since this scooter is so stable at high speeds. If you we're getting a Burn E or E2 Max and you've never ridden it, I would recommend you get a steering damper because it takes a long time to learn how to ride it at highspeeds safely. However, I think it's unnecessary for the Klima if you have the right stance. I think learning a balanced riding posture will be more useful.
      If you still need a steering damper after working on the riding posture, you can contact Michael Sha directly on the official Nami FB Group. I believe he was developing one for the Klima. I'm not sure if it's available yet.
      I hope this helps!

      I think there's a totally separate bike path now
      But I could be mistaken

      thanks for watching! They banned the vendors but there are still a ton of pedestrians on that upper portion of the bridge so I've avoided it. @Paperchasen83 is correct that there is a separate bike path that they cut into the car lanes (you'll see me use it in the BK Bridge videos). The problem with using that bike lane is it's really narrow, there are always pedestrians on it, and there are a 2 blind corners. I don't think we're allowed to ride anything on the area where the vendors were at since they created that new bike lane.

    Will it go faster if you bypass the speed limiter?

      thanks for joining us for the cold weather speed runs and welcome to the channel Avery! These speeds are with the speed limiter off. You would need to replace the controller to go any faster.

      thanks for sharing Orville, that's good to know! Is that 72kph with turbo on in warmer weather?
      I see that we're getting the same top speed Limpar.

    Mine won’t go faster, anyhow i try. Maybe in the summer will be more. Im also over 200pound.
    For me seems like in X mode with turbo its eating a lot.

      thanks for joining us for the speed test Limpar! Same, I couldn't get it to go faster than 41mph (66kph) on the GPS. With the X mode maxed out and turbo on in the cold, I was also going through the battery very quickly . I'm definitely going to have to do this speed test again when it gets warmer.

      Just a heads up. I've started listing the accessories on the scooter and bike in the descriptions of the videos. If I ever change it, I'll make adjustments to the affiliate links in the description of the video!

    Although I appreciated the video, but you should look after yourself by not riding this beast scooter during the cold day. Do something else instead.
