I would have thought he'd have at least a bigger tuba for the Orchestra but again this is London.Nice job either way.

He plays CC tuba as well as his EEb in the orchestra. I think he chose his EEb for this so he wouldn't have to bring 2 tubas. Playing Hungarian March wouldnt have been ideal on his CC

If you’re playing Berlioz then he’s writing at a high register for tuba,

If you’ve ever watched bolero performed by the LSO in about 2009-2011, conducted by valery gergiev And you skip to where the tuba comes in playing the bass line(G2-C2) You will notice that you can very clearly hear him play, the sound of the timpani is darkened, and sounds a bit more serious, because of the tuba entry. He made the entire tone of the orchestra change to a much more serious tone, added weight to the bass, gave the timpani a bit more edge, and overall made a noticeable difference when he came in, because of that huge sound, I was there when they performed it live and I noticed a few heads turned when he came in, I watched him, then watched the upload, and it definitely matched the way he moved in real life.(basically he moved the same from what I could see live, and on the upload) they were the same performance.

Your voice is a bit like a Tuba... Very dramatic instrument.
