Toxic Bite Of Slow Loris - Poisonous Animals As Pets

  • Slow lorises may be very funny exotic pets but they have a venomous bite which can secretes a toxin. Most slow lorises are a victim of illegal wildlife trade. Since 2007, all slow loris species have been protected from commercial international trade.

The slow loris should not be a pet, the same as any other primate. The 'tickling' of the animal that looks extremely cute is actually torture, when its arms are raised it is very distressed as it is trying to access venom from its venomous glands under its arms. There is nothing cute about this video, sickening

It's sad😢 if they really loved these animals, they would put their needs first... They are almost extinct because of people using them as pets... Its sad... If they loved these animals they would let let them go... And to see the ones that were in cages...they will soon be extinct, and it will be these greedy ass men who steal them and sell them for money, abd the ones that keep them as pets that should not be pets...i love animals so much, it breaks my heart...

Every time a slow loris raises its arms, it's not cute. It's terrified and is trying to activate venom glands in its elbows to defend itself, but it can't because slow lorises have their teeth pulled when caught in the wild. Also, bright lights seriously hurt slow lorises eyes, all these clips are filmed in light. Don't support this.

I have met with a slow loris in Thailand. A friend of my ex had one in captivity.
And that particular loris had full teeth. It was also very slow encountering me, using a full hour to approach me. And when it did, I slowly greeted it with some headrubs, and he smelled on my hands was just curious in general. I also saw the owner play with him..
At no point did he seemed scared or tortured, nor did he freeze and raise his hands or lick his armpits or whatever..
For me it seems like this claims are a fabricated to try to stop the illegal trade.
Do I support them being kept as pets? No!
But I used my better jugdement, and what they claim here is just silly..

And tickling is EWWWW so bad it is really stressful for them . Most animals have the instinct of hating there belly binge touched some animals like rabbits can die of heart attack if on there backs . I'm surprised that one didn't bite that woman who was scratching it... Oh that's right, he can't because h hey took his teeth out🤬 God made these beautiful animals, they are the only venomous animal in its kind, he made them unique and beautiful... When a slender Loris is in distress, they put their arms over their heads, then ther glands under their glands under their armpits produce a poison, they out it on their teeth, then they attack... Well, he couldn'teven use the beautiful gift he was born with because the shitty owner pulled his teeth out😢 and the fact that I know this and don't own one, avd the owner doesn't and has one is even more heartbreaking... Smh...Such beautiful creatures.they should not be used as pets, that is one of the reasons they and many other exotic animals are going extinct.... If you care for these animals, and really have a heart for them, you would do what's best, and thats to let them be in the wild to reproduce, so they won't be extinct... It will happen if people keep putting their own selfish needs before them and wanting them as pets instead... Im not saying this to be rude, but there are greedy people in this world, stealing these animals out of their natural habitat, so they can makes tons of money... You think they care if they are extinct? No, they want that money...again, if you love something so much, you put its needs first, even if that means you don't get to keep them as a pet... Just like the saying goes, if you love something, sometimes you got to let it go..

Does it matter tbh? You don't know the circumstances of traffickers, they have families to feed and trying to make ends meet. I honestly do not care if they are extinct, if every one of them died, you wouldn't know without the media. But in my opinion, dogs are cuter and cats are just meh. Also, male platypi are venomous, they have spurs on the back of their legs. Some peoples' love for cute animals only applies to ones they can actually interact with. A cute animal you can't interact with or love might as well not exist.
