Tom Cruise is just amazing. How anyone can resist pressing the eject button when James Cordon is in the back seat is beyond me.
HAHAHA.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just ask his former wife what he is like. Don't be mesmerized by his toys.
@@mrs.6813hey bud, not saying she did, but you do know it’s quite common for woman to lie about those things.
I think that might be the most amazing skill displayed throughout the entire video. That is some serious restraint!
A lot of people mention his wealth as an important factor in his achievements. While money certainly does help, I believe its contribution is overstated. In my opinion, if every commenter here were a billionaire, not one would ever achieve half of what Cruise has. Most with his wealth would simply endeavor to live a comfortable life, as the vast majority of people indeed do. What he has accomplished takes such an intense combination of drive, ambition, passion, and work ethic that is so extremely rare.
Despite earning millions he must have a high IQ to accomplish all of this. His physical abilities are off the scale as well.
A true superstar. He is one of the all time greats. So entertaining to watch.
Let's hope he goes on to make many more exciting films for us all.
Maybe no need for a high IQ, but he is high in motivation, hard work and confidence.
Not anyone can do what he has achieved, high IQ excellent abilities agreed 100%
I also admire Tom for his motivation and skill as an aviator, skydiver, etc. I’m also an aviator, skydiver etc, and I know skill when I see it. I just wish I had a fraction of his money and I’d do more. 😆Way to go and hats off Tom.
I was going to comment that when you are an active and motivated person you accomplish alot. When you are those things and have been rich and famous essentially your entire life there really isn't anything to hold you back. Boredom would come easy so the push to do more would always be there.
Awesome!! I wish the same
See! That's "The Cruise Difference" right there! You, like many other people, are just "wishing". Tom looks and says, hey, I got an idea. The person he tells his idea to replies, Oh no, you can't do that! Nobody has ever done that. It's just impossible! And Tom replies, Well, I'm going to do it -- watch! And Tom gets it done -- and he then gets paid the big bucks. Yet Soy-boys and girls whine about "if only I just had [his] money ... then I would do it all too!" That's the point [of your failure], it's actually his money. He actually earned it. Where's yours? Why don't you go earn yourself mega-bucks? By the way: there are plenty of people with much more money than Tom. But guess what? None of them can do what Tom does. So, what's all this whining about Tom can only do it because he has the bucks to pay for it all. Get a grip; get a life.
@Tom Cruise [
Douche Bag?
The helicopter stunts you mention were flown in New Zealand, for two reasons. Awesome scenery and most countries wouldn't let him fly the stunts he wanted to do.
Awesome fact. Thanks. Tom is legit
facts he one of the last remaining actors to do his own stunts! look at mission impossible as well amazing stunts on toms end.
Pretty much just the last reason, but im sure the scenery is nice.
Interesting
Agreed. Not even the FAA are that dumb!
WOW. I knew he had the Mustang and was a pilot but I had no idea of the extent of his experience and skill. AWSOME.
I saw the movie last night with my 16-year old daughter. We both enjoyed the film immensely. Beats the hell out of Deadpool or Batman, in my opinion. I didn't know Cruise was a pilot. Of course, If I had $600-million sitting in the bank, I'd be doing something similar. 😎 Go see the movie. It's awesome.
Deadpool? How is Deadpool relevant? Came out like 6 years ago and is a totally different genre of movie?
@@cleverusername9369 Both are Hollywood movies. Superhero movies have been all the rage for the past couple years, and Top Gun Maverick blows all of them out of the water and shows that you don't need things like superheroes and CGI for a good movie.
@@Monarch683 deadpool have low budget film compare to top gun maverick
We are going to see it Weds!
I saw it last night as well in my local Iowa theater. All I can say is wow, just as good as the original. Also that little message from Tom at the beginning was so sick.
I knew he was a pilot, but had no idea how experienced he was. Thank you for this amazing video!
Same here
I was on final approach into Van Nuys in 2009 when TC departed in front of me in his P-51.
I’d choose the P51 all day long given the choice. Not that I wouldn’t have a great time in other aircraft, but the Mustang D is epic.
There’s method acting & there’s doing everything for real like tom cruise! He’s without a doubt, one of the greatest actor’s ever, his oscar is long overdue.
Tom is a legend to me and one of my favorite actors , he deserves nothing but respect from people !
Why respect?
You're not aware of his part in Scientology? Tom has contributed to immeasurable pain in many people's lives.
aside from Cuise's outburst he is one of the last remaining true actors doing his own stunts and avoiding CGi at all cost
The outburst was because he cared
Sorry for the stupid question but I don't know how to google. Was the outburst on the Top Gun set?
@@user-vi7jn5ph9b Mission Impossible. Some people were screwing up the required Covid rules - which would have shut them down
@@zonzillamagnus5902 I listened to that like that day. Good on Cruise.
He was not wrong.
Such mad respect for Tom Cruise. I’ve been a fan since I was a kid in the 80s and have never turned on him like so many others.
Always been a fan, but dang. He is on top of the world right now. Kudos!
He a bit eccentric but incredibly talented. Jealousy focuses on eccentric, fans on talented.
Same here always loved him. He is just amazing ❤
You have his kind of money, and a passion for anything, anything is possible!
Got to love a guy that has the money to do these things and than actually does them.
Tom Cruise is on a whole other level.
Levels? Is that a Scientology joke? LOL. It's not funny to his victims though.
@Tom Cruise You're not Tom Cruise. Living the dream, are you?
All it takes is dedication, motivation, and unlimited cash.
But....I was lucky enough to go for TWO rides in Bob Love's P-51D back in 1982. He was a Piston Ace in P51's and a Jet Ace in the F-86 Saber.
Those were memories of a lifetime.
You're absolutely right. If I had the cash he has I could afford all that stuff too.
Actually no, unless you have talent money won’t help you .
@@gaelle4328You don't have the cash, you're not going to get the training and you won't get to use that talent. Becoming a pilot is not rocket science, but you do have to have a little something on the ball.
@@ictpilot Basically you need either to join the airforce in whatever country you are in and/ or have a sh.. of money and have talent the hard part is you don’t really know if you have talent until you’ve tried - like any other art and it’s hard to keep your licences current .
@@gaelle4328 To get to his level of type ratings etc. yes you need a lot of money. The military is an option to get experience and training. It's more training and practice than talent. And it's not hard to keep your licenses current.
Absolutely new to your channel, It's nice to see someone giving props to Tom and his dedication in flying. Lately you'll find people bashing his film and the "realism" or it when it's a movie for christ sake. Thanks for this inspirational video and I hope you're able to inspire your following to have a future in aviation. Thanks for making this video and I really enjoyed it.
Thanks, so nice to hear Hollywood news other than wierd smut.... Mad respect to Cruise for indulging in an honorable hobby ( skill) that he should be very proud of!!!! Very happy to see there's at least 1 very cool person left in Hollywood!!!!
I was pleasantly amazed that he flew the P-51D - trainer, it is an amazing aircraft and beside the F4U Corsair and the FW-190 one of the most beautiful birds every made.
Please, don't omit the Supermarine Spitfire from your beauty list!
The D in P-51D notes the major version of the old front line fighter, not a trainer variant, like, say, the F-16D.
I like P-51`s but the most beautiful airplane is the Beech Staggerwing. Model 17
@@REDMAN298
Pitts S2B
That was great! As a Navy pilot, an F4U would seem more appropriate. But the scene with Tom & Jennifer was really awesome!!
I was inspired in 86 mate. One GPZ900R later... Thanks for sharing. Tom rocks! 😎👍
Got to love the homage to the mighty wings ending in Top Gun with barrel rolling F-14 into the sunset with Toms P-51 rolling into the sunset in Maverick
Always liked Tom Cruise as an actor, but never knew he was a real pilot. Thanks for your post.
Dedication... beyond description but let’s not forget the largest hurdle most folks can never get over is the financial and cruise can cruise by that one and not blink... he’s demonstrated skills very few people will ever develop and once he accomplishes one he’s never satisfied and continue to next level... and it’s beyond impressive how he’s managed to do this....
And he overcame dyslexia and a broken home as a youngster
Why do some small-heads keep whining about "... the largest hurdle ... the financial ..." and saying "Cruise can cruise by that one" or some other dumb-ass kind of thing to say like that. What does a loser sound like? Why do losers seem not to see that Tom had to earn the money himself--first, or while he was doing his amazing things? So stop whining and just respect the man's (by his own amazing abilities) achievements.
It's always been pretty obvious that Tom is athletically gifted, with great reflexes, and seemingly the ability to do just about anything. Of course, if I had a gillion dollars and a lot of time on my hands in between movies, who knows what I'd be able to accomplish! Now, if he'd just kick Scientology to the curb, he could have his integrity too!
I remember seeing that on tv when he got in some serious hot water with that scientology stuff.. !
@@lauriemedina706 Great comment, Laurie and I second it!
..."something that Tom Cruise can afford, but not Maverick can afford" so true~~
I listened to a podcast where the professional pilot flying Maverick´s aircraft was being interviewed, and he said Tom Cruise did fly the dog fight scenes, and the riskiest scenes were flown by him (the professional pilot). So it seems that yes, TC did it in some scenes.
I watched this movie last week and loved it
When I saw the p51 I said to my wife I bet that plane is his 👍👍
Can drive F1 cars, jets, and also now just learned he can fly a helicopter. Probably harder than piloting most planes.
The dude is the closest thing we have to a real life James Bond. Dude is crazy intelligent and just works all the time. He might be crazy, but he gets things done.
I admire his devotion to making action-filled movies. I can't even fly a kite and this man can fly so many different types of aircraft.
A retired helicopter pilot told me flying a helicopter is like balancing on top of a ball. It's nothing like a plane.
I like "closest thing to James Bond"
He really is knowing Tom the man deffiently has had firearm training
I believe Cruise may be just the opposite of crazy.......He seems to evaluate situations from a non-neorotic entirely rational perspective.
He routinely does things that would make most highly accomplished men crap their pants. And he is cheerful about it without the slightest arrogance.......
It's becoming difficult to separate the myth from the man.
I love p 51 it is my dream airplane
Holy shit I didnt know any of this about Tom. Gawd damn he can do it all.
Mr. Cruise really knows how to properly spend his money and live life to the fullest since he performed in Top Gun at age 20 or so👍🏻
Just watching Tom cling onto the outside of an airbus doing (8) circuits convinced me that
he isn't afraid.
I bought rides in a P 51 Mustang and
in a B 25 Bomber for my birthday 🎉 in 1984, what a blast🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I watched Top Gun in it’s first week in the cinema in 1986- I was already a fan of anything aviation/jet fighter related and boy that movie blew me away ,I watched it in the cinema about 5 times and now he is a real pilot yes Tom Cruise is the real deal.
One of my all time hero’s. Helps when you are a mega Hollywood superstar but anything is possible in aviation if you put your mind to it and work hard.
I lost my pilots license due to medical reasons and I still miss flying. Aerobatics, float plane flying and flying into Orlando International in my PA -28 will be memories I will treasure forever.
Unlike Harrison Ford you never hear of Tom Cruise's safety violations, so he's at least THAT good.
Unlike Tom Cruise, you do hear of Harrison Ford flying rescue missions to help people.
First of all this movie was awesome. And I think I get having your own P51 make a cameo. But before I knew it was his plane. When I saw the movie I was like ahh too bad that wasn't an F6F Hellcat. That would have been so Navy. So cool for Maverick to have a carrier based warbird.
I was in the navy 1986 when the first top gun came out. I was stationed on U.S.S. Constellation.
What a man crush....So many of us old pilots have flown these aircraft before he was wearing long pants.
I personally started flying 1920's vintage aircraft and moved up to flying freight in 1930's era aircraft...I won't call them vintage. We were the old schoolers and all the lucky guys got to go into the service and fly something fast. I didn't get to but before they were out of the fast jets some of us were in the big jets making family's and house payments. His P-51 is not a full scale actual P-51, I have been a pilot, crew and restoration mechanic on F4U's,B-25's and many older antiques.
You can throw money at learning to fly and buy cool aircraft but unless you fly everyday for a living you can't really grasp the way of it.
It’s not just dedication and motivation. It also takes alotttttt of money.
Wake up will ya! Tom earns his own money -- what do you do?
Awesome Video Mike . Thanks for posting.
INCREDIBLE!!!!! to say the least and definitely an understatement.
You gotta admire the guy..he talks the talk, walks the walk...go on ya Tom!
And he does it all with dyslexia! Amazing!
Very good video and thanks for sharing these points. I had no idea his aviation skills ran so deep. I realized he was an airplane pilot, but did not know his experience in rotor and jets. While it does take commitment and dedication, along with talent to fly the way he does… It also takes $$$$ to achieve those dreams as well, which he has more than enough of to buy his way into. I began training in rotor flight over 20 years ago and had to stop due to lack of finances and have never been able to continue pursuing my dream in aviation since, but I hope that maybe someday there is an opportunity for me. Until then, I’ll keep watching his movies and dreaming of the aviation path.
Hi Mike. I had the pleasure of flying the Grace spitfire from Sywell today.
The aerobics were crazy . I managed to keep my food down. I would highly recommend warbirds at sywell for the spitfire experience.
They let you fly most of the time you are airborne. Thanks again for the encouragement and cool videos.
He's a the real deal Maverick The Best of the Best. 🏆😎
Dedication and motivation with a boat load of cash. He is definitely one of a kind. He earns his paycheck the hard way.
Awesome for sure!! I got a flight and even was able to handle a WW2 T6 Texan in Florida! My channel has the actual video of me flying it with the real pilot trainer of course. It was truly my favorite experience in flight so far. Great video about Tom Cruise. Awesome
Awesome video, Tom cruise is a badass! I called the US Navy asking to fly one of their F-22 using the promo code above. Still waiting for them to get back to me…
The F-22 is USAF, not Navy. If the Navy gets back to you they'll say 'get in line, we what to fly one ourselves!'
The US Navy doesn’t have F-22s…
So informative! Thank you! I watched the movie last week and enjoyed it a lot. I watched the first one when I was 19. Tom Cruise deserves all the praise, just as you said, for his life journey. I watched most of his movies and was not aware of this side of his life because most of the time I do not care for what actors do outside the screen. Also, I am not into action movies that much but this second movie is so well done. I was surprised! I hope Maverick gets enough recognition. It was fun to watch, exciting, and so well done.
To still be alive today he’s put a lot of time and effort to stay proficient and safe.
Good thing Jackie Chan isn't a pilot I guess, he's proficient, the safe on the other hand...
Yes. There are bold pilots, and there are old pilots. But there are no old, bold pilots.
CAVU skies to Tom Cruise! As a fellow aviator, I take my hat off to him. I built/flew C-IAVW, an aerobatic biplane - a poor man's a/c! Never relax; practise, practise. 100% ALL the time.
I'm with you, mate! Green with jealousy over that P-51. My 1st video of yours, well done and instant subscribe!
Awesome!... Tom Cruise has not lost his cool and neither has the F14.... We used to fly P51 Mustangs with our RNZAF and we have L39 Albatross warbirds... Top Gun Maverick is a fantastic movie!.. thanks👍🇳🇿

great movie loved to see the 51, my grandfather worked for Allison
Just saw the movie tonight.. really liked it. Tom's background in flight is impressive. I only wish I could afford to learn to fly like that. Loved how he flew off into the sunset in his own plane in the end of the movie. Had no idea till this video he has a car collection as well as planes. So very cool. 👍
He's also got a motorbike collection! How come people are forgetting his bikes! And, his bike riding skills and stunts!
Tom is an awesome guy
i remember on the tonight show they showed a picture of tom sitting on the very top of the burg kalifa skyscraper. his ass on an electrical box or something no safety harness and him just smiling feet waving in the air. holy shit. you can find it on youtube. the guy has no fear.
Technical note Cruise has one of two F-6 Mustangs, late production photo reconnaissance version of the P-51. It has a altered fuselage for the photograhy equipment.
Worth a fair bit more than $4M?
That is the ULTIMATE Dream ride...WOW. He must have done something great in a past life to have this one.... Helos, Jets, acrobatics ticket, unlimited cash, work when you want, gorgeous women and he knows how to make it all Rock and Roll. Mad Props.... way cool.

I will never be able to afford my own airplane. That said, if I had the choice between flying in a P-51 Mustang and the aforementioned Albatross, I would always choose the Mustang. For the mere historical value of the aircraft. That said, I doubt I’ll ever have that opportunity. On the other hand, I have flown in a B-17.

As a long time pilot myself, I'd say he is the real deal as a pilot, like Harrison Ford, NOT a poser. He puts his ass on the line in many ways, for real, much respect, with his money he doesn't need to but still does! I'm waiting for him to discover the world of STOL/fat tired flying/ off airport flying, seems like a good tie in for some future MI movie plot.
He's the guy. That's it.

Nice factual report. As a retired military fixed wing, rotary wing and war bird pilot (flying friends more than I), Tom nails it; as well as the movie!

It’s not only that the F-18 Supers cost so much, it’s also the fact that in order to understand the technology of the systems installed and used on the aircraft, you need a secret level security clearance at minimum, which Tom doesn’t have.
Not to fly the jet.
@@12vibaba yes you DO need a clearance to fly the F-18 Super. I know that. I have PERSONAL experience and still, to this day, everyday of the week, my hands are literally on F-18s and my butt in the seat. Nice try.
@@bodazaphfa I think there's also a reg that says military aircraft that are currently active in service cannot be flown by civilians. Very likely for the reasons you state. And you are correct. You must know the systems of that aircraft in case of an emergency. The L-39 that Tom flies is not an overly complex aircraft as it is a Russian trainer. It is nowhere near the level of sophistication and performance of a Super.
@@HabuBeemer you’re correct. That’s covered under DoD / DoN OPSEC SOP.
Tom cruise is just amazing.
The hours he skydived has to be incorrect. He and I trained at the same jump center in deland Florida, owned by the guy who invented the tandem rig and the accelerated free fall course used all over the world to train skydivers. I went thru the AFF program and had over 600 jumps in my first year alone. Halo jumping has a prerequisite amount of jumps that is well over your 100 jump estimate. The man who trained me had 30,000 jumps and 2400 purposeful cutaways of his main chute and deployment of his reserve. The owner of skydive deland had a parachute company and my instructor tested equipment for him.
Thanks for the knowledge, I should have said 100 minimum. Interesting to hear your take

@@swiftadventurer skydiving in thin air is harder.
@@flopofshame2582 How far up?
Hey FlopOfShame, thought I would share my Skydiver training in 1964, Orangeberg SC. It cost $8 dollars and included membership in Parachuting Assoc of America.. 16 year old kid with over a 100 jumps 'trained' my buddy and I. My buddy Bob Daniel found the jump training and we were scheduled for Army Jump school and wanted to do skydiving. Did a couple of jumps off of an oil drum to learn PLFs. Think our charge for a jump was less than $10 including use of parachute. Signed a release and the kid had us pretend to jump off of a Cessna 172 and hit an arch. I was a gymnast so I had a good arch. The kid Larry said pretend you have a Maewest spinning to the right and deploy your reserve in the direction of the spin. Did it pretending we had Maewest spinning to the left and we were ready to go. I did 5 static line jumps over next 2 days abut was afraid to do a freefall. My buddy Bob made his first freefall and went on to be a nationally ranked jumper. I ultimately did some free falls but never pursued it. Army jump training was good. 8 Years later on my last military jump I thought I had only did one jump a quarter and thought hmm, long time no refresher. Training was ingrained in me and automatic so I had a nice last jump.
