I'm currently reading this book and can highly recommend it. He very eloquently articulates much of the current political problems we are now seeing every day.
I used to question my sanity..

My favorite living author. I plowed through White the week it came out. If you like this angle, cool, but if you're worried the whole book is political, it's not. It's only a couple chapters. The book is more about the artist's journey through a changing landscape of art vs aesthetics and narrative.

My most recent ex is a college English teacher and a covert feminist. It was in part because of her that I studied the personality disorders for five years. I learned that she’s a sociopath. It warms my heart to see Ellis, who she admired, remarking on the same kinds of disconcerting experiences I had with my ex and her family and friends for 4 years before 2014, and many people I knew before that. What we’re seeing might appear on the surface to be political, but it isn’t. We’re in the midst of the worst epidemic of the Cluster B personality disorders the world has ever seen, and it’s going to get much worse. Brace yourselves. You ain’t seen nothing yet.

Interesting the person in the cab just assumed country artists like Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson were against him. Those two artists, especially Isbell are liberal. But, the guy in the cab just buys into the false narrative without even trying to find more out about the artists.
The longer one spends with the report, the more disturbing a document it is, despite the initial fuzziness of some of Mr. Mueller’s conclusions. The instances here make up only about 12 pages out of a report that spans hundreds. Mr. Mueller makes clear that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 election with the goal of supporting Mr. Trump; that the Trump campaign sought to benefit from that interference; and that the president worked to put to an end to the office investigating the interference effort.

Love that President Trump calls out the bullies, fake media, corrupt politicians, and bad actors. It's refreshing for a strong person to stand up to injustice. It needs to be called out and corrected. The American people need to demand justice.

Although Ellis is very good at creating a sense of doom, I don't care for most of his books. American Psycho, however, is an absolute masterpiece, and would get my vote as one of the greatest American satires ever, perhaps only eclipsed by Catch 22. Psycho is the perfect satire on the diseased, out-of-control greed of the modern U.S.
If Mr. Ellis thinks Trump Derangement is a problem, I wonder how he felt about Fox New's freakout over Obama's tan suit and dijon mustard.🤔
