Well, they do and don't. In Unreal Engine 4, you can "play the game" in a cinematic system with cameras keyed up to move around. So they probably do a mix of real gameplay, and in Editor recording in UE4.

Only people using the replay system are gonna be content creators I think so that’s why they won’t add it. I’m gonna be honest I’m not using that thing if riot released it.

@poopooeater2136 thats the dumbest take i've ever heard, and it shows how out of touch you are. Yes you maybe won't use it, but majority of players, especially those looking to improve would use it, replay system is for players looking to improve, plus its hella useful for finding cheaters, since its easier to notice aimbots/wallhacks if you can see how they've played entire game.
Nah a lot of average players will use the replay system. Not everyone wants to download programs to clip a good round or record a game. It would also be useful to show more proof of someone cheating, trolling, being afk or being toxic. And also if you could watch the POV of different players in the game it would be so interesting. Maybe if you want to see how your teammate got an ace or how the enemy killed 3 of you at the same time and you want to know how. Many questions would be answered and people would less accuse others of cheating. And you wouldn’t “forget” to clip your ace anymore
