*Correction* @9:46 The famous " _Cogito, ergo sum_ " (e.i "I think, therefore I am") was said by René Descartes *NOT* Immanuel Kant.
He originally published it in French as " _je pense, donc je suis_ " in his 1637 _Discourse on the Method_ , so as to reach a wider audience than Latin would have allowed. It later appeared in Latin in his _Principles of Philosophy_ , and a similar phrase also featured prominently in his _Meditations on First Philosophy_ .
Yes yes yes, oh my god. How did I let that happen?! I was talking about it with my friend beforehand and I still managed to make a mistake. Thank you for pointing that out. I didn't know why I put Kant. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for pointing that out! Appreciate it!
I pinned your comment so people can know and I've already blurred out the name. Can't do too much about Kant's face though. I'll just let it be.
Great vid again 👏
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
not that i really care, but i don´t think that it is "wrong" anymore to feel that way. i´m not saying that it ever was.
could be disturbing to the loved person, but disney is working on that afaik. i´m not understanding very well what is going on, but i understand that it is not wrong at all, and that it is kind of a big deal.
just saying :)
Oh hey, could you be a little specific? What kind of affair is disney working on? And what feeling is wrong to feel?
@@idlethoughts 2:45 sorry i´m up for days and english is not my native.
Oh, homosexuality you mean? Yea, in the movie, the boys felt that it was wrong to feel that way. But, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. It's quite normal, it's been recorded in humans and animals. But, it's not quite normal for the Japanese people I guess? It's slowly changing, but it's not as progressive as some countries in the west.
Thanks for your comment. It's okay, don't feel sorry about english not being your native language :) I still understand what you said, just needed a little more context. Thank you!
Freedom is possible if every human minded their own business.
How does that work?
Interesting perspective, but there are some points you made I'm agaisnt. Dressing up as animals in public or marrying fictional characters shouldn't be normalized by society and encouraged. You should not go to prison or be systematically punished, but these actions should be socially condemned. A society needs stable and functional norms that are followed by each citizen in order to survive, or else it risks falling into problems such as decadence or just general social instability. Morality can be subjective depending on how you look at it, but standards must be set. It doesn't have to be 1984 either.
However, I can understand why you might think this way. I'm not too knowledgeable on this topic, but on some countries such as Korea and Japan it can get kinda insane, as it has become socially normalized to have a false identity in your public life just to be agreeable and appease everyone. Judging from your accent, I think you may be Asian so it is reasonable to think you'd be unsatisfied with how social freedoms can be restricted by society in those countries. However, at some point, freedom needs to be limited so society can keep running and not fall into collapse. You have the freedom to make choices, but you do not have the freedom to escape the consequences. This may sound a bit like Petersonianism, where every individual has free will but it must be enforced with strict moral codes for an ideal society.
I might be wrong, I'm not a philosophist I'm just sharing my thoughts.
Good video though hopefully your channel gets big one day and I'll definitely give that movie a try 👍
Hey, thanks for commenting and watching, and also for the kind words! I'm actually also against dressing as dogs or marrying a fictional character, I mean, I can let it happen as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, but I wouldn't recommend it. I think some form of restrictions is necessary because total freedom can also mean total chaos. I agree with what you said!
Sure, that movie was really good! At least to me, it has a lot of little details and you'll notice more and more on the second or third viewing of the movie. Thanks for commenting and watching, and also for the wish! It means a lot :)
Fredom is Deat.
Buly is existence itself.
Realty is ilusive domhod.
Te end.
Hmmmm, freedom is death because without existence there would be no restrictions?

Godbles.
I think the only freedom we don't have is the total freedom to do whatever, including those that of metaphysical freedom. But we don't need them to be happy, we still can be happy without having everything.
