Which Cartoon Network you guys think is the best?
Gen 3
1 and 2 are my favorites. 3 is hanging by a thread. I don't even want to look at 4-5.
1 is the best one. It did hard carry cartoon network through rough times.
1 for sure it has the most hits, then 2, then 3. 4 and 5 just got hoed idk wtf them niggas doing.
1 objectively has the best lineup. 2 has some gems like Ben 10, chowder, puffy amiyumi, and foster home. 3 has the 3 main shows that hard carried cartoons throughout the 2010s and an extremely underrated gem Sym-Bionic Titan (swear not enough people talk about this show probably because it got cancelled for a silly reason). Personally I’m picking 1 but 2 and 3 aren’t bad choices. 4 and 5 can go rot though

i mean the answer is 1 for sure. but for me im ngl, regular show, adventure time and the amazing world of gumball put Cartoon Network on its back, you can remove 10 shows from 1 and they’d still be good which is why you gotta put it top, but those three shows I actually think are better individually and definitely collectively than any of the others on the list

Teen titans, Dexter and PPG were some of my all time favorites growing up (KND too but I don’t think it had as many reruns so I don’t remember it as well). Regular show and Gumball are on the same level as those 3 for me but its definitely still group 1 for me

The thing is 3 is new school but the shows like adventure time regular show and Tawog are just as good as the old shows. They aren’t corny like the new shows.

For me it’s not competition all of number one are bangers and brought so much to the cartoon community. Number 3 is a second because personally the only show up there that can touch any of the number one shows is Regular Show. Tbh Gumball and Adventure time is lowkey overrated it doesn’t mean they’re not good just overrated.

I was born in 03 and honestly I would pick 1-3, I didn’t watch every cartoon but that was my era.
People forgetting about some big hitters in 3 like Johnny Test, Total Drama Island, hero 108, etc. I say 1 is still better just cause both nostalgia and how stacked they are. But just because 1 gets the Goku treatment doesn’t mean 3 isn’t the Naruto of the cartoon generations. Courage, flapjack, and chowder gave way for more darker shows like adventure time and regular show to master what was set in place.
Teens titans can’t be Gen 1 realistically it started airing JULY OF 2003 that’s only 5 months in that generation went on for another 3 years and lowkey

Tbh I still think it’s generation 1 that takes it with 3 being hella close lots of shows are missing like MadTV, Young Justice, hole in the wall bs, etc.
The only reason why people are picking 3 is because of adventure time, regular show, and amazing world of gumball. Which I wont lie, CLEARS all of gen 2, 4, and 5, alone. But the reason why it doesn't clear 1 is because, GEN 1 AS A WHOLE objectively has the better shows. If you take out any of the big 3 in gen 3, gen 3 is SHIT. But if you take out 3 shows in gen 1, there are still GOOD ASS SHOWS. 1 wins, 3 close second.

to be fair, I wouldnt put any of those shows over the big 3 in gen 3, HOWEVER, those shows do beat every other show in gen 3 besides the big 3.

The big 3 prob could take out a lot of solid gen 1 shows by themselves, but thats only by themselves, once you start putting out the best gen 1 shows AND the solid gen 1 shows, the big 3 cant win by themselves. Every other show in gen 3 getting cooked by gen 1 shows. My personal opinion, I didnt really fuck with steven universe, but ik a lot of people loved that show. But again, steven universe at most could beat 1 decent show in gen 1, but that show aint beating the better shows of gen 1.
3 S tier shows (big 3), 1 A tier show (steven universe), and the rest are below B tiers (whatever is left in gen 3), isnt beating a roster of like 8-9 A-S tier shows (all the gen 1 shows ive mentioned and more).

Imo it goes Gen 3-->Gen 1-->Gen 2-->Gen dog water 1->Gen dog water 2
Gen 4 and 5 are sorry af (OK KO is fine, Apple and Onion was charming too, but that's about it. I didn't watch Craig of the Creek) but Gen 1 and Gen 3 are GOATed. In terms of Classics/All Round best Generation, Gen 1 wins hands down. Courage is a Masterpiece, Samurai Jack too, plus like 80% of the other shows are classic too. But in terms of episodic stories, emotions and mature humor (shows that I watch on purpose) Gen 3 is stacked. I mean, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Regular Show *and* TAWOG? Those shows are peak. The Big 3 of Cartoon Network are amazing for obvious reasons but Steven Universe is one of the craziest shows I've ever watched, even crazier than TAWOG since it's realistic. It feels like it was just straight up made for adults, but is cartoonish only because it was from the perspective of the Main Character. Kind of like how Courage was probably just a normal dog but the show was cartoonishly scary because it was in his head / how he saw things.
Gen 2 had Ben 10, which is really good (Chowder, Flapjack and Imaginary Friends are good too), but I don't think it beats Gen 3. Idk what Gen Scooby Doo Mystery Inc is in (2010 so Gen 3 probably) but that show was also really good.
1 has pioneers fr 3 has some heavy hitters that even older I enjoyed so not mad if that won tbh
I grew up in 3 but understandably it makes sense ppl call 1 the best. They had HEAT. Plus shows like Clarence and Uncle Grandpa hold it back

I know no matter what I say won't change you're opinion and that's okay too! 😁 I just prefer shows with general overarching story lines as well as those fun good time episodes which these shows were able to do. best kinda storyline (which don't get me wrong WAS HARD) we got from Dexter was that mf monkey 😭

@@TooFrossty Lets start with Dexter, as I think thats where we agree the most. I believe you missed the multiple episode story of dexters from different timelines coming together to save an apocalyptic version of the world. Also, yes the monkey, the monkey story was peak.
Moving on to your point about anime inspiration. I'd start off saying that i don't agree that being inspired by anime is negative or takes anything away from the story, but lets assume it does.
Samurai Jack is inspired by the little prince, which was a film that specifically attempted to blend animations styles from USA's UPA studio and the Soviet unions Snow queen production. Both styles are distincly different from traditional anime style.
Teen Titans was heavily inspired by FLCL's aesthetic and wild animation. Appart from that it was producesd by DC, which is american.
Now lets briefly mention Adventure Time's inspiration. Lets ignore that the episode "food chain" is directed by Masaaki Yuasa, and was entirely animated by Yuasa's own studio. During an interview with Animation World Network, Ward ( the creator) said he strove to combine Adventure Time's subversive humor with beautiful moments. He then goes on to cite Hayao Miyazaki's film My Neighbor Totoro as inspiration.
So in conclusion, If we forget about feelings and look at the facts, Adventure Time has far more anime inspiration than the shows i mentioned, even going as far as having an episode directed and produced by a japanese animation studio, which would technically make that episode be considered "anime"

3 [2010-15] by far an away stomps the competition, Steven Universe alone better than every show on the Network n puts shows like Avatar to shame.
