Hi there! Expecting our second in a few months and currently have a 3.5 year old. We use the Hatch as well, but the one with the light. It’s been a god send in teaching my kiddo when it’s ok to come out of his room and when it’s time to sleep or play quietly. When R gets older it may be something to consider ☺️

Postpartum is a freaking wild ride 🤪 our #2 is 8ish weeks away so this is a great brush up for me as I go through the intimidatingly huge box of newborn stuff in storage hahaha. Also would appreciate any and all 2 under 2 tips, I am so grateful you’re doing this a little before me so I can learn from you!!

We use the keekaroo too and one hack that was a game changer for us was using peepee pads on top of them so you don’t have to clean them every time there is pee or poop on them you just change the pad, and the pee is absorbed automatically into the pad instead of spreading and touching their clothes lol. It saved me so much laundry!

Can you maybe help on how to keep a toddler warm at night. I live in South Africa and recently moved to a town where winters get super cold. My daughter turns 2 in May and we are reaching between 15 and 20 degrees Fahrenheit at night. We use solar energy so cannot use warms or heaters. She sleeps in long sleeve vest with a thicker babygrow and a sleepsack and blanket, but she is still super cold. This results in het still waking 1 to 2 times a night.
Ahhhh I’m SO sorry!! I have the opposite problem here, it’s so hot in AZ and we are already getting 90+ degree weather. I am not sure I have the best advice on this 😭
You can keep your breast milk on your side table for almost 6 hours before it needs to be refrigerated! no need to run downstairs in the middle of the night :)
After you use the Hakaa, do you still nurse on that side during the feeding?
Yes I do!! When I was nursing my son I didn’t, because I couldn’t stand the pain and he got enough from the one side! But this time around I have always nursed on both sides :)
With the bulb syringe, I used it with my son and it ended up growing mold inside of it 😭 I know you said they gave you three, so just keep an eye on that so that doesn’t happen to you guys! Xo

Yes! They gave me a cream, I think it was like a type of hydrocortisone? You can ask your nurses and/or doctor! :)

My doulas told me not to worry about leaving the fresh breast milk out at night. It has so many antibacterial properties it has been shown to stay fresh for 8+ hours (and scientist believe it’s actually even longer than that). Might be worth checking out for yourself! 🤍 Thank you for making this we just found out we’re expecting #2

I did the same thing, I was told 6hrs shelf stable by the hospital lactation consultant but wouldn’t at all be surprised if it stretches even more than that. Breastmilk is incredible.
